Onboard the Vanguard, the flagship of the Nightstalker fleet stands admiral Myrin, commander Leon, Lena and Y/N.
Myrin : They mobilized faster than we had anticipated.
Y/N : Indeed, it seems the other factory worlds of the Separatists have been preparing for this for a while.
Lena : Well we beat them back, but their leader escaped. What are we doing on Ossus anyways master, it's a desolate planet with no inhabitants.
Leon : We are also deep in enemy lines sir, we will be unable to receive reinforcements if we sustain heavy casualties.
Instead of answering Lena's question Y/N simply pulled up a map on the holotable.

Y/N : Because of its location Ossus is extremely important, our objective aside from protecting the hyperspace lanes is to raid enemy planets.
Lena : Raid enemy planets?
Y/N : The Republic is currently spread too thin with its forces, thus it's remaining on the defensive. The confederacy is more prepared for this war than we are, thus our job is to tie up as many confederate forces as we can to buy time for our forces to fully mobilize and our defenses to be strengthened.
Myrin : Then I take it we are to conduct raids and hit and run tactics in this area general.
Y/N : Correct, Ossus will be our staging point for these raids.
Leon : Sir are we to liberate planets from Separatists hands as well?
Y/N : No not yet as for the first stage of our plans we will merely be destroying supply lines, fleets and droid processing plants. We will eventually liberate the surrounding planets from enemy control but for now most of our ground forces will establish a base in Ossus. Leon I want you to study the topography of the planet and decide the best place to build a headquarters, once you're done give me a report.
Leon : Understood sir.

Y/N : On another note, what is the state of our naval forces admiral?
Myrin : In the last battle we lost lost 7 arquitens and 3 corvettes, thus bringing our total ship count to 17. 2 of the dreadnoughts were also severely damaged due to bearing the brunt of the enemy fire, they need to be repaired for a week before they will be combat ready. We also lost 2 squadrons of V 19 torrents and 1 squadron of Y wing bombers in the battle.
