"Aymee, this is Toby," It was lunchtime and Ranboo was introducing his friends to his new... friend?
"Hello!" said Toby cheerfully. He looks happier than he did in the morning. He's really not an early bird.
Aymee just gave him a kind smile. "And this is Tommy."
"HELLO!" Tommy exclaimed aggressively but with a grin.
"God, he sucks at making good first impressions", Ranboo internally cursed him.
The girl flinched from the volume as she wasn't expecting that.
Of course, she didn't. It's not every day that you meet someone like Tommy.
"Sorry, he can come off strong but he's a really sweet guy" Ranboo apologized with a small guilty smile.
"It's alright. Nice to meet you both!" she chuckled.
They sat down at a table to eat. Soon enough, Nikki joined them.
Nikki's eyes lit up as soon as she saw the new person on the table.
"Hello, my name's Nihachu but you can call me Nikki. What's your name?" Nikki said softly and flashed the girl a smile.
"Hi, my name's Aymee but uh, you can call me Aimsey! Nice to meet you Nihachu." She returned the smile.
Nikki looked confused for a second, "I'm sorry but are you new here? I don't think I've seen you before"
"Oh, yeah! I just moved here"
"Ah, that's so cool! You'll fit right in!" Nikki said sweetly
For a second, Aymee was mesmerized by the girl. "She is so nice," they thought.
"Yeah, I hope I do!" Aymee said and she giggled.
"I don't want to seem nosy but why did you move here? Did your family find a job or something?" Toby spoke up curiously.
"You can not answer if you don't want to!" he added quickly after seeing the girl's reaction to the question.
Aymee wanted to be honest but he was kind of afraid of what they would think. This is the closest they have been to making friends here. "Well, if they want to be my friends they should know this," They thought.
"Um, my parents did find a good job opportunity here, but that wasn't the main reason," she said reluctantly.
"My girlfriend lives here so I've been nagging my parents to move here for quite a while, and they finally agreed," She said and looked away, seemingly afraid of.. rejection? Ranboo guessed.
"Oh that's cool!" exclaimed Toby not missing a beat-, "Does she go to this school?"
Aymee seemed a bit taken back but she quickly recovered. "Yeah, but they're sick right now"
Toby realized he used the wrong pronouns and swiftly apologized.
"Ah no, it's alright. She goes by she/they." Aymee said and smiled softly. "By the way, since we're talking about it. What are your guys' pronouns?"
Oh. Ranboo hasn't been asked that before. Everyone seemed to respond quickly. Oh god, it was his turn.
"Ranboo?" Aymee asked with a patient smile.
"Oh yeah um, h-..he him I guess..?" Aymee looked a bit confused. Why was he asking her? That shouldn't be a question. Oh great, everyone's looking at him now. Say something! "He him. Yeah. Hah, sorry!" He tried to make them believe him.
Wait why would they need to believe him? He knows he uses he/him.
Wait does he?
Shut up, of course, he does!

FanfictionRanboo never really understood the concept of gender. Everyone called him a "he", a "boy" so that's what he was, no big deal. But then, why couldn't he be one? ..He'll elaborate on that.
