[S/H WARNING!]
She dragged the blade across her thigh, water consuming her eyes as the faint blur of blood dripped onto the hardwood floor. She wept as numbness overcame her, making her feel dizzy and unsure of her surroundings. She shook violently as her hands grew sweaty, her cuts uneven and sloppy. She felt herself losing consciousness as her eyelids drooped, her heavy breaths growing more shallow with ever gasp. She gripped the rug next to her, dragging herself toward the red towel hanging on the chair that sat in the corner. She was determined, she couldn't let anyone find her like this. "Kaitlyn. Stop it." She heard from behind her. The girl froze, eyes wide at the unfamiliar voice. She turned slowly, only to be met with the cold gaze of a somewhat translucent girl.
Kaitlyn looked down as Lila lectured her about self care and what it means to love yourself. She didn't find any of it important, but she just couldn't believe what was happening to her.
A ghost, or, whatever the fuck Lila is, was helping her, even telling her off. She felt like Alice in wonderland, her pale emerald eyes wide with curiosity as she glanced at the faded girl in front of her. The cuts on her thighs had been treated, and she wore long cowboys pajama pants, and a snoopy t-shirt. Kaitlyn looked up at the hovering girl, her face pale. "Am I dead?" She asked, shaking violently, her mind trying to come up with any other excuse for why she was seeing such things. The translucent girl scoffed, muttering under her breath. "No, you're not dead you idiot. I'm here to keep you from dying. You think I want the big man to fire me?" Lila exclaimed, her eyes wide and frustrated. "Sorry." Kaitlyn muttered, falling back on the bed tiredly. "Say, are YOU dead?" She asked, shooting up into a criss-cross position, mouth slightly parted, curiosity gleaming in her mischievous orbs. "Fuck no! I am a fragment of your imagination you dimwit!" Lila cried, crossing her arms and pouting angrily. Kaitlyn was silent for a moment, but was unable to control her laughter as she rolled off of her bed, tears forming in her eyes as she clutched her stomach for dear life. "Ha-ha. Laugh at me all you want, you're the crazy one seeing ghost girls." Lila muttered, floating away, unamused.
(Sorry it's short. This is my first story based on myself!)
