I stood right in front of them.
"Please. Blink twice if there is no danger." I asked, hoping for the best, but fearing the worst.
Then it happened. They blinked. I counted quietly. One... Two...
"Thank you" I gave a little nod as I run through the rails, thanking the light, but as I said that the barrier starts to close down. I hear the loud whistle, and I realise i got caught up in a lie, but not soon enough. The train is close to me, and I'm not close enough to the exit.
"Please. Blink twice, if I can survive this"
I plead, but there is no response. The light stops. But the train does not.
