"Whoever this Daniels is," Marisol chuckled as she worked, "he is the worst mechanic I've ever seen. He had no idea what he was doing!"

"Is it bad?" McQueen nervously asked.

"He didn't do as much damage as he thought he did. This won't take two minutes. Then I'll fix the dent in your hood and you'll be good as new."

Relief flooded over Lightning. He was okay. He was going to be able to drive again. He was going to be able to race again. Despite still not knowing how they were going to get home, he was already starting to feel better about everything going on.

"Hey, Marisol?"

"Yeah?"

"Thank you."

He couldn't see her due to his hood, but he could hear the smile in her voice.

"De nada."

"...then he told us about his tourist trap plan." Moana finished.

Marty had his hands on his temples, trying to think. Even the characters barely knew how they'd gotten here. The best thing Jack could tell him was that he thought he'd come through a portal. But how had Daniels even generated a portal in the first place?

He got up and got a soda from Red's fridge. How had he gotten himself into this? He was happy to help out some of his favorite characters, sure, but he'd have liked this crazy reverse-isekai scenario to have at least had a simple solution.

Red followed him and grabbed an orange soda. "Any ideas?"

"Not even about what I want for dinner." Marty chugged a good amount of his soda before he continued. "I have no clue what we should do here. The only real lead we have is that this Daniels guy works at Disney World."

"On Main Street, specifically." Red added.

"Yeah, on Main Str–" He looked up. "Wait, how'd you know that?"

"All Disney World employees wear different costumes depending on where they work. He was wearing one of those 'turn of the century' outfits that they wear on Main Street, U.S.A in the Magic Kingdom, so I put two and two together."

"Right." The wheels in his head were turning. "He works in the Magic Kingdom. He probably spends a lot of time in the Magic Kingdom...Red you're a genius!"

"You have an idea?" She asked, growing excited.

"What's one place in the Magic Kingdom that practically no guests can get into, but an employee could get access to?"

"Um, literally any place that's meant for employees?" Red smiled teasingly.

He rolled his eyes. He'd walked into that one. "Okay, let me rephrase that. What's the one building in the Magic Kingdom that everyone wants to go in, but only park employees can?"

She snapped her fingers. "The castle!"

"Exactly! What better place to hide something super important?" He took a breath. He had a theory, but he didn't want Red to think he was crazy.

She was staring at him. "Whatever it is you're thinking, you can tell me. I won't judge. Even if it's a little crazy. Heck, my sister's operating on a living race car in my garage, and there's a skeleton eating chips on my couch." She gestured at Jack, who had taken a liking to a bag of potato chips he'd found in the pantry. The fact that they'd expired two months ago didn't seem to bother him.

Marty chuckled. "Okay. Well, Disney's movies and stuff are all based on magic, right? Wizards, sorcerers, fairies, spells, that sort of thing. Well, what if there is actual magic in Disney World? I mean real objects with real power?"

Red nodded. "If they had something like that and needed to hide it, then the safest place to put it would be somewhere only a few people can get to. Especially if such a thing is kept secret from most other employees. The castle would be one of the best places to hide it!"

Marty grinned. "You've got it. My guess would be that it would be in or near that Cinderella's Suite they have up there. No guest can go up there unless invited, and I'm going to guess that goes for most employees, too. So we'll start there."

Red groaned. "Yeah, one problem. We don't have enough money to pay for tickets to the park. Mamá only left me sixty bucks for food and emergencies, and I had to promise Marisol twenty of it so she wouldn't tell anyone about all of this. Even if we could afford it, how do we sneak Jack Skellington, Lightning McQueen, Nala, Moana, Woody, and Buzz Lightyear into a park full of people who want to meet them?"

Marty thought for a second. "We could convince people that Jack, Nala, and McQueen are new puppetry slash animatronic technology. As long as they don't talk, people will probably buy it. All Woody and Buzz have to do is freeze while we're in public. Moana could probably just throw on a t-shirt and be fine."

Red facepalmed. "You're missing the point. How do we get in?"

They were interrupted by the sound of the garage door opening, followed by a loud whoop. Everyone looked up at once, and ran to the garage.

Marisol, grinning triumphantly, stood by her open toolbox as she watched outside. Everyone turned to where she was facing, and saw a red blur race past, laughing wildly.

"Don't say anything, Rosita," the mechanic said, "you know that no one is home right now, and he needed to test his engine out. As you can see, I've still got it."

"Muchas gracias, hermana." Red smiled at her sister. She turned to face Marty, only for Marisol to cough.

"Aren't you forgetting something?"

His friend rolled her eyes, and pulled a wrinkled twenty dollar bill from her pocket. Her sister took it happily.

"Pleasure doing business with you. Now I've got to get back to the garage before Mr. Smits rips my head off. You sure you'll be okay?" She eyed the characters as she spoke.

"No te preocupes. We'll be fine. We've already got a perfectly safe, rational plan to get these guys back. They'll be gone by the time you get home."

Marisol looked doubtful, but nodded. She started to put on her motorcycle helmet. "Okay. I'll be home by seven. I'm making enchiladas."

"And we'll be ordering pizza." Red responded.

"Smart girl." Marisol agreed. "Get cheesy bread while you're at it." With that, she walked towards her motorcycle and waved goodbye. As she pulled out into the street, McQueen rocketed up the driveway and stopped just short of crashing into the garage. He was happier than anyone in the group had ever seen him.

"Look at me! I'm back! Kachow!" He did the pose, which Marty and Red geeked out over (everyone else looked understandably confused).

"Okay," Marty got everyone's attention once he and Red had calmed down, "now it's time to get serious. Red and I think we know where we need to go. But we're going to need a really good plan to get in..."
