After Nick finally calmed down, I sent him to the guest room to rest. Right now, I don't trust him alone. Zak and Nikki offered to stay the night to help and well... I should've said no, but I can't deal with this all at once. They're staying in the living room while James and I are in my room.
Well, until they came home.
"Robin! Robin! Who the hell are all these people in my house!"
I jumped up. I looked around, confused.
I could of sworn I just heard them.
I glanced at the clock.
1:36 am
We must of fell asleep. James stirred beside me.
"What's wrong?" He asked half awake.
"Nothing," I said softly. "Go back to sleep."
"You sure?"
"Yeah, I'm sure."
I got up and quietly slipped out of the room, going downstairs to get some water. I looked over the railing to check on Zak and Nikki.
Shit!
Downstairs where my adopted parents who were both drunk. They were screaming at Zak and Nikki, not really making sense with their slurred speak. Zak and Nikki completely ignored them and robbed the sleep out of their eyes.
"Robin! Who the fuck are these people and why are they in my house!" Linda, my adopted mom, screamed.
"Look lady! Shu-"
"Zak!" I cut him off before he made things worse. "You and Nikki go wake Nick and go to my room." He gave me a look then glared at Linda.
"Please." I begged.
"Fine." He took Nikki's hand. "Just holler." He said as he walked past me. I nodded and turned to Linda to explain.
"Linda, I-"
A stinging pain on my cheek stopped me from speaking. I cried out in pain.
"Who the fuck told you that you could have people over!"
"I can ex-"
Another slap.
"Shut up!" Linda screamed. "I'm talking!"
I kept my mouth shut. I just did there holding my cheek, tears falling down my cheeks.
"god! I don't even know why we even took you in! You're a stupid, ugly screw-up! You'll never be anything! You're a nobody! I bet your little friends, even your boyfriend think so too! Ugh! I don't know why I'm even wasting my breath on you!" She shook her head in disgust and walked away, lighting a cigarette.
"Chris! Come deal with this thing!"
My eyes widen. I shook my head.
"No!" I tried to run to the stairs but a hand latched in my hair and yanked me back. I screamed out in pain.
"Where the fuck do you think you're going bitch?" Chris growled in my ear, the reeking stench of alcohol on his breath.
"No... Please. Anything else, please." I begged weeping.
"Begging won't help you now. Besides, you should be grateful, I doubt anyone would want you; you're so damn ugly. I'm doing you a favor."
He grabbed me and forcefully threw me over his shoulder. I started fighting; punching his back, kicking my legs, doing anything to get of his back.
"No! Put me down! Zak! James! Someone help!" I screamed. Chris went up the stairs and to his room he shared with Linda. He roughly tossed me on the bed. I scrambled up and made a dash towards the door. Chris grabbed me and slammed me to the floor. I indistinctly wrapped my arms around my stomach, protecting the little one growing inside me. Chris kicked me, hitting my arms and not my stomach.
I Will Protect My Baby!
After kicking me a few more times, he closed the door and locked it. He grabbed my arm and yanked me up, throwing me in the bed again. He groped me roughly and began tearing at my clothes, ripping them in half. I screamed for help. For Zak, James, Nick, anybody... But no one came.
Eventually, I gave up and started crying. Chris slapped me. "Stop crying. He stood and began to undress.
BANG!
The door shook. Another loud thump rang through the room as something, or someone, banged on the door.
BANG!
They were banging hard enough to knock the door down. Then; it did knock down.
"Freeze! Police!"
Thank god!
"Step away from the girl." A female officer demanded. Chris stepped away and a male officer came up and slammed him against the wall. He slapped on cuffs and began reading him his rights as they walked out. The female cop came to me, asked if I was hurt, and wrapped a blanket around me. I started sobbing and she took me in her arms and held me, giving comforting words till I was done. She helped me up and lead me downstairs. The place was full of cops, detectives and EMS workers, but my friends were nowhere to be found.
"Excuse me," I said to the cop that hadn't left my side. "Where are my friends?"
She gave me a confused look. "What friends?"
"My friends... They stayed the night. 3 boys and a girl; Nick, James, Zak, and Nikki." I gave their names to see if it rang a bell.
It didn't.
She shook her head. "No, no one was here except you and you're guardians. It was your neighbor," She pointed to Mrs. Right, an elderly woman who lived in the house the left of mine. "Who called us. She heard you screaming."
I stood there shocked.
"T-they left me?"
My heart shattered. The people who I loved most, left me there. When I was about to be...raped, when I was being beaten, they were gone. My cries for help was for nothing. I never felt so broken.
I thought they cared. I thought they loved me. Especially James... I was wrong.
It was all a lie...
I have no one.
It's just me and my unborn baby.
