Should I or not?

Time is passing by as the teacher tells them about prom,and how they should behave even though it's almost the end of the year, and how there life is going to go after high school.
The bell rings for the next class Jake got up ready to leave as his friend Meg ran to his desk as started to ask if he was going.
Jake never thought of going to prom but it did get him thinking. Meg yelled at Jake seeming as he was spaced out, Jake quickly answered Meg before she started repeating.

Meg sighed and asked why wait to go. Jake shrugged off the questions as they both went to there lockers that was close to Dwight's. Meg asked Dwight the questions she asked Jake and Dwight had a answer already. As the two talked Jake thought to himself if he should go and even if he did who was he going with.

The bell rang and the three parted ways as they had different class. Jake walked into Science class sitting next to Claudette and asked her about prom. Claudette said she was going to go and shyly saying that the friend group should go shopping for dress for prom. Jake turned his head to look at Claudette and gave her a smile being happy that she would spend time with her friends knowing that for the past day she was busy with prom decoration. Jake offered to help Claudette with the decorations before the teacher started Claudette nodded giving him a big smile.

As Jake walked home he kept thinking about going or not and what his parents would say.
Lost in his thought he didn't know that he bumped into Laurie. The two fell as jake finally got out of his thoughts he got up from the floor and apologized as he help Laurie getting up. Laurie forgave him and asked him about prom Jake questions to himself why everyone is asking about prom. Jake just answer with not known if he should but did say something about helping out with prom. Laurie hearing that got excited and said her brother is going to help and asked Jake to help him because he wasn't good at talking to people Jake didn't mind helping so he said yes.

As the two said goodbye, parting way. Jake got to his house as his mom asked how was school jake said it was fine and went up to his room after taking his shoes off. Jake closed the door and sat on his chair and laid his head on the table thing about prom.
