Draco's POV

Y/N started freaking out. She folded herself in a little ball.
"Blackbird! Blackbird!" I said as I shook her. She was unresponsive. I looked around and noticed that everyone was leaving. My pride had gotten the best of me and I decided not to yell for help.
"Not again..." I muttered before I unfolded her and placed her in my arms. I started making my way to Madam Pomfrey. I looked down at her and her eyes were close.
"Bloody hell, of course she passes out," I mutter to myself as I made my way to the hospital wing. I entered through the double doors. Nobody was in so I had no choice but to shout.
"Madam Pomfrey!" I called. "Madam Pomfrey!"
The old woman appeared from around the corner.
"Yes?" she asked. She saw Y/N passed out in my arms. "Again, Mr. Malfoy?" she asked with a frown. I frowned back at her.
"Not like that. She started freaking out and she passed out," I explained. Madam Pomfrey sighed. "Set her down here," Madam Pomfrey gestured to the closest bed. I set her down on the bed. Madam Pomfrey forcefully opened her eyes.
"Her pupils are dilated. This is a panic attack we're dealing with, Mr. Malfoy," Madam Pomfrey explained.
"A p-panic attack?" I stuttered. "Are those dangerous?" I asked.
"Not the way you think Mr. Malfoy, but they do a lot of stress on a person," Madam Pomfrey replied as she stood up and went to her cabinets.
"Any idea on how the attack was caused?" Madam Pomfrey was caused. I knew deep inside that I caused the attack by pointing out that the back of her neck was glowing but, since there was a lot of other things that could've caused it, I very quickly came up with an excuse.
"Um, she started to freak out when Diggory and Potter got chosen by the goblet," I replied.
"I see," Madam Pomfrey said as she smashed some herbs in a bowl, then lit them on fire with her wand.
"What are you doing?" I asked as she placed some of the burnt herbs on a stick and placed it under Y/N's nose.
"The herbs will not only wake Ms. Blackbird, but will also calm her," Madam Pomfrey replied. "Have the two of you finally become friends?" she asked.
"Not exactly, no," I replied. "I just owe her a lot of favors," I replied before Y/N started coughing. We both looked down at Y/N. She was gaining consciousness. She blinked rapidly before she darted her eyes around the room.
"Wh-wha--what? What am I...I need to see Dumbledore," Y/N stuttered before she then tried to sit up.
"Not so fast, Ms. Blackbird. You aren't quite recovered yet. You need to spend some time in bed," Madam Pomfrey said as she grabbed Y/N's shoulders and gently placed her down.
"But, it's urgent. It's about Harry and Cedric. They're not safe," Y/N stammered as she tried sitting up again.
"Yes, I know. The Triwizard Tournament is dangerous but no one has died from this tournament in a century," Madam Pomfrey explained.
"You don't understand. I need to see Dumbledore now," Y/N said. Her eyes grew dark when she said "Now" which was kind of scary. Madam Pomfrey looked at me.
"I'll go talk to him to see if he can see you so that you can put you at ease," Madam Pomfrey said. "Mr. Malfoy. Make sure she stays in bed. I'll be right back," Madam Pomfrey told me before leaving. I heard Y/N sigh as she sunk into the bed.
"It's taunting me now," she said. I looked to her she was staring straight up at the ceiling.
"What do you mean it's taunting you now?" I asked, oblivious to her thoughts.
"The curse. Last night, I dreamt of a graveyard. Two figures on one side and one on the other. The one on the other seemed to be holding a baby or something. Then the figure pointed a wand at one of the two figures and a green light shot out at it, hitting one of the figures causing them to fly and land on the ground. They had killed him. The two figures standing against the one were Harry and Cedric. I know it. I'm not sure which one of them was killed but, I feel like the curse wants me to know that someone will die in this tournament," Y/N explained. She had so much fear in her eyes, I wasn't exactly sure what to do. I never was really good with being sympathetic but, I tried.
"If it was Potter who died, I'm sure you'd have no problem with staying out of trouble, am I right?" I asked, somewhat jokingly. Y/N sat up and glared at me. "Don't ever say something like that in front of me again," she growled. Her eyes were dark again and my eyes widened in fear for a split second before I kind of squinted my eyes and studied hers. They weren't her normal e/c color. They were pitch black. She still had the white part of her eye but where her color was supposed to be wasn't as if death himself was in her eyes. Her eyes then softened, going back to their e/c color.
"What?" she spat.
"N-nothing. I'm sure Dumbledore will save your precious Potter and your Hufflepuff cousin," I replied. Y/N scoffed and crossed her arms.
"Maybe another Occlumency lesson will help?" I suggested. Y/N glanced at me.
"What? Want to make me fall asleep last time?" she asked.
"No. I want to try something different this time," I replied.
"And what would that be?" she asked as she crossed her legs together on the bed and looked at me.
"Oh, I'm going to obliviate you and make you forget you even have the curse," I said with a smirk. Y/N sat there and stared me dead in the eyes. Since I'm a natural born Occlumens, she could not tell whether or not I was lying.
"Would that actually work?" she asked. I laughed.
"Of course not. That was a joke. We need to continue doing it the boring way. Just try not to fall asleep or have any more visions this time, will you?" I ask, jokingly. Y/N rolled her eyes.
"Fine."
"Now..."
"Clear all thoughts and emotions. Yeah, yeah. I know," Y/N said mockingly before positioning herself in a meditated state. She closed her eyes, placed her hands on her knees. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. I then decided take out my wand and add a little challenge.
"Legillimens," I quietly said. I then felt myself enter her mind. I was suddenly in what seemed to be a living room. There were six figures in the room. It took me a moment to realize who the figures were. It was Y/N and her family. As a whole. I recognized her parents who were sitting on the couch and the four children up front. Y/n was younger and she looked happy. It looked like they were either performing a skit or a dance of some sort. But, there was music and movement so I guessed they were dancing. For an eight year old, Y/N was a decent dancer. I then shook my head at the thought.
The Blackbird parents clapped for the kids.
"Well done, children. I think I'll use that," Mr. Blackbird said.
"Really?" Y/N asked, excitedly.
"Well, yeah! That was the best dance I've ever seen out of you guys. Of course I'm going to add it. I'll need you guys to teach the band, though," Mr. Blackbird said.
"We'd be honored, Dad," said the eldest girl. I think this was...Alethia? Athena? Something like that.
"Good. You four keep practicing. I have another song I need to work on," Mr. Blackbird said as he stood up.
"Ooh! Can I help, dad! Please?" young Y/N pleaded.
"Oh, alright. Come along, Y/N," Mr. Blackbird said as he welcomed Y/N with open arms.
"Yay!" Y/N said with glee as she jumped in her father's arms. The two laughed and left the room. I was left in the room with Mrs. Blackbird and the other three.
"Alright, I need to take care of the Nifflers. Any of you want to join me?" Mrs. Blackbird asked.
"Ooh, I do!" Y/N's older brother, Ethan said. The boy followed his mother out of the room. I was now left with the twins. Just then a black smoke appeared around the twins and before anything else happened, the memory faded and I was now back in the hospital wing. I gasped just as Y/N did. Y/N's breathing hitched before she looked at me, glaring daggers at me.
"What the hell was that?" she exclaimed.
"I-I don't know. I just thought...if I tried to enter your mind, you'd be able to block it off. Guess it didn't work," I said with a defensive shrug.
"Don't ever do that again, you hear me?" she yelled at me. "That memory was private," she hissed.
"I think we should try that again," I said. Y/N looked up at me and glared. "Think about it, Y/N. If you know I'm trying to invade you mind, maybe it'll influence the Occlumency and keep me out. Then you'll be able to keep the curse out of it," I explained. Y/N glared at me but then her expression changed as if she was thinking about it.
"That...might not actually be a bad idea," she finally said after a moment's silence.
"Okay, just don't let me too far into your mind. I don't want to know any of your dirty little secrets," I said with smirk. Y/N punched me in the arm.
"Ow," I winced, looking down at my arms. I looked back up and saw that Y/N was half-smiling. Just then, the double doors opened. I turned around to see Madam Pomfrey, Dumbledore, Moody, Snape, McGonagall and Crouch.
"Mr. Malfoy. I'm afraid you must leave now," said Madam Pomfrey. "Thank you for keeping an eye on Ms. Blackbird."
"Well, I certainly wasn't going to let her go anywhere," I said as I stood up. I looked back at Y/N who cocked her brows at me but then gave me a small smile. I pursed my lips in a small smile back before leaving the room.

Y/N's POV

When Draco left, the group of professors came closer towards me.
"Gee, I didn't think you'd be inviting half of the staff," I said with a hint of sarcasm in my voice.
"Ms. Blackbird. If this is about Harry and Cedric's safety, all of us must know so we can work together to avoid whatever may come," Dumbledore explained.
"Sir, I had a vision. Harry and Cedric were there. One of them gets killed. You can't let either of them compete," I pleaded.
"A vision?" asked Dumbledore asked.
"Yes. It happens in a graveyard and one of them gets killed," I explained.
"Ms. Blackbird. None of our tasks happen in a graveyard," Dumbledore replied.
"You--what?" I stammered.  "But, my vision--it must mean something. I still don't want Harry or Cedric competing. It's like the curse is taunting me and letting me know that someone is going to die," I said, desperately. Everyone in the room was already aware of my curse because a letter was sent out to the staff after the death of my parents explaining what the matter was and to be extra cautious.
"How do you know for sure it is your curse?" asked Dumbledore.
"Because my mark started flicker as if giving me a warning," I replied. Dumbledore took a step back.
"I'm afraid that a decision has already been made as far as the competition goes. By law we cannot withdraw any of the champions from the tournament. It is by law that anyone who is chosen must compete. Harry and Cedric have no choice but to compete. Even if Harry didn't put his name in the goblet," Dumbledore explained. I groaned in frustration. I laid down and placed a pillow over my face.
"I just need to get rid of this stupid curse so no one dies," I muffled.
"And we're doing the best we can, Ms. Blackbird. Your lessons with Snape start tomorrow night," Dumbedore replied. I sighed over the pillow before uncovering it.
"What about the graveyard? We can't let Harry or Cedric near a graveyard or my vision stays true," I said as I sat up.
"And we will do our best to prevent that. But, for now. You must try and calm your mind of all bad thoughts," Dumbledore told me before he sat down next to me on the bed. "All this worry about your curse is only allowing the curse deeper inside your mind. Don't let it do that to you, Ms. Blackbird. Take time to enjoy time with friends and make some new ones," Dumbledore said to me.
"But, that's what the curse wants, Professor. It wants me to make friends and spend time with friends so that it could find new targets," I replied.
"Once you learn the ability to block your mind as much as you're able to read it, you won't have to worry," Dumbledore said but, I still wasn't convinced.
"Sir, Occlumency is just the medicine, not the cure," I said. "I want to find a cure so I can get rid of this thing," I said.
"We already have the top-most wizards in the Ministry on the case, Ms. Blackbird. You are being helped," Dumbledore reassured.
"I want them to have a cure before anyone else gets killed or I'll handle things myself," I said.
"Handle them yourself? What do you mean, Ms. Blackbird?" asked McGonagall.
"I don't know...I just want it to be gone," I said, glumly.
"Why don't you get some sleep, Ms. Blackbird. We shall talk more about this in future," Dumbledore said with a wink. I furrowed my eyebrows as him and the other professors left the room. All except for Snape. He stayed behind.
"You know, I might as well leave the Occlumency lessons to Mr. Malfoy, since he's trying so hard as to teach you," Snape said.
"Wh-what? How do you know about that?" I asked.
"I saw you two last nigh in the Astronomy tower. He's so eager to teach you the power of Occlumency I might as well leave it to him," Snape replied.
"Do you...know why he's so desperate to teach me?" I asked, curiously. Snape looked at me and pursed his lips.
"Mr. Malfoy isn't just a prideful and cunning bully you think him to be, Ms. Blackbird," Snape replied.
"Then who is he exactly?" I asked.
"Maybe spending more time with the young man will allow you to understand just exactly who, Ms. Blackbird," Snape told me. I raised my brow and turned my neck, giving him a funny look.
"You've seen how he is on the outside, Ms. Blackbird. Not the inside," Snape said. "Remember. He did save you from the incident that Parkinson caused. Doesn't that tell you that there's more to him than just a sneer?" asked Snape. I shrugged.
"I suppose so. But, why are you so persistent on me getting close with Draco? Do you wish for him to die?" I asked.
"Remember what Dumbledore said," Snape said before he simply turned around and left. I sighed as he closed the doors and left.
"I guess I'm staying here tonight," I muttered. I stood up and took out my wand. My uniform turned into a simple nightgown and I got back in bed and tucked myself in. I sighed deeply, Dumbledore and Snape's words echoing in my mind as I began to fall asleep.
