Chapter 12

Naruto's cramps began in the morning. He didn't think much of it, and went to his river. They were getting worse, but he simply didn't notice them as contractions. He spent all day at the river, while Sasuke was on a mission. He started to sweat slightly, due to all of the "cramps". He put his hands on his very pregnant stomach, groaning as a heavy contraction hit. 

"A-am I in labor?" he thought.

Liquid spilling down his leg confirmed his question. He breathed in and out, standing up. He needed to get to the hospital!

Sasuke walked home, to not find Naruto. He went to the river, because he knew that Naruto went there all the time. He found the boy, laying in the grass.

"Naruto?" Sasuke asked, getting closer. Heavy breathing could be heard, along with winces and a slight...

"Aghhh!" 

"Naruto?" Sasuke asked, shaking the blonde. Naruto looked up at him.

"S-Sasuke- the baby- It's... comin-AGH!" he said, curling into a ball. Sasuke saw his wet pants, beginning to get worried.

"Don't worry! I'll get you to the hospital!" Sasuke said, picking up the blonde. Naruto shifted in his arms as another contraction hit, causing him to gasp.

"Naruto! Are you alright?" Sasuke asked, running into town now. Naruto nodded, gasping for air.

"T-the baby is moving into position... I-I feel like I need to push..." Naruto said, holding his stomach for dear life. Sasuke's eyes widened as he saw Naruto's face. It seemed in horrible pain. It hurt him.

"Hand in there, dobe! We're almost there!"

Sasuke ran into the hospital, quickly signing Naruto in. 

"He's in labor! We need to see Tsunade!"

Sasuke changed Naruto into scrubs, as he grunted. He placed the blonde onto the hospital bed, looking at Tsunade.

"Okay Naruto," Tsunade said. "You're 9 cm dialated. We'll have to wait until you're fully ready, okay?" Naruto nodded.

"I-it will take longer, since you don't have a uterus," she finished. Naruto made a pained expression as Tsunade left. Sasuke sat on the edge of the bed.

"How are you doing, Naruto?" Sasuke asked. Naruto gave him a nasty look.

"Not great. It hurt-aHH!" Naruto yelled. "S-sorry... contraction..."

Tsunade sat at the end of Naruto's bed. He was 10 cm now. She worried for the boy, especially because his body was so small and weak.

"Naruto, I need you to spread your legs, okay?" Tsunade asked. Sasuke held the blonde's hand as he did so. Naruto continued breathing heavily, sweat beading on his forehead. Sasuke kissed his forehead, making his heart flutter.

"You're doing great, Naruto. You've got this," the raven whispered, followed by Tsunade yelling to push.

Naruto did as he was told, gasping after he pushed for the first time. He clutched his stomach, wincing.

"I-it's moving!" Naruto yelled. Tsunade raised an eyebrow. 

"Sasuke! Quickly, help me preform a sonogram!" she said. Sasuke obliged, pulling up Naruto's scrubs. Tsunade squirted the gel, and followed by the remote. She was dumbfounded. The baby was sideways.

Naruto yelled, as his contractions grew closer. Tsunade didn't know what to do.

"Naruto! I need you to stand up! I know it hurts, but we have to get the baby back in position!"

Sasuke helped Naruto up, followed by heavy panting from him. Naruto walked around, doing squats and such, until he felt movement.

"I-it's moving again!" he said, followed by a contraction. He could feel the baby slipping down. Tsunade smiled, looking again at the sonogram. The baby was the right way. She had Naruto ly back down, and spread his legs.

"Push!" Tsunade said. Naruto pushed as hard as he could, yelling.

"GGGAAhhh..." he said, relief following. He could feel the baby crowning.

Naruto smiled, holding his beautiful baby. He handed it to Sasuke, Sasuke smiling at him. Naruto winced slightly, as Tsunade assisted him in delivering the afterbirth. He gasped in relief, tears in his eyes. He was handed his baby boy, and he was simply in love.

"Menma," Naruto cried. Sasuke hugged him, smiling bright for once. Menma's raven hair was spiky, accompanied by tan skin, blue eyes, and whiskers. 

Sasuke kissed Menma's cheek. "I can't wait to start our lives together."
