48; Broken Trust

ZEYU

I stared at Ji who is now talking at Jiaxin, silently inside the confine room, Jiaxin was showing his confused face, but Ji continued to tell him things about his past, it is a treatment to get his memories back.

"He's so patient on helping Jiaxin..." Hang suddenly spoke, "I hope Jiaxin gets better, I don't want to see him like that, I'm having a hard time."

"It's not just you, then I know how you feel, we've been friends for a long time, it's hard for me too, to see him and witness his losing all his memories. Not just with us, also with his family..." I sighed.

After we visited Jiaxin there at the hospital, we went back to the company, it's been two months since he was there in monitor, he still doesn't remember anything, we are just waiting for his wounds to get fully healed before discharging.

The moment I get to open my office door, I saw a familiar woman at the side of the hallway, I let my curiosity take over and just went near her without thinking who it would be, "Why are you here?" she asked.

"Sheyang, what are you doing?" I asked while looking at her hugging her own legs on the ground. "What happened to you?"

"Nothing, okay?" she stood up and walked away, I could see that she is really shaking, she was crying but she hid it from me.

I sighed and went inside my office, and it made my nose smoke in anger, the frame I loved the most was broken scattered on the ground, the picture I was keeping for 20 years, I was taking a good care of it, and it's now ripped apart.

It was a picture of me, and Zhubao, on our high school year, came from my polaroid camera, I suddenly fell on my knees, taking every piece of the picture that has ripped in many pieces.

I cried myself out, with anger, with so much weakness.

"Zeyu, don't touch it, you might get cut with the glass!" It was Zhubao, "What we're you thinking-"

She cut herself off, seeing the pieces of the polaroid photo on my hand, she suddenly took my hand and stared at it, "Zhubao..." I spoke.

"What is this, Zeyu?" she asked.

"This is our first picture since we we're high school, this is our first picture the time I met you, it was from my polaroid camera..." I kept sobbing, I cannot control myself and just cry, the picture was so important to me, and now it's gone.

She gave me a tight hug and whispered some words, "Don't cry, I'll find a way to take that photo back."

"But its ruined..." my tears are non-stop falling from my eyes, "It's too impossible to get a new one, it's the only picture of this moment."

ZHUBAO

After I saw Zeyu back there, it hurts me, he kept that photo for 20 years, later on, we went back home, I can see him just stare at the emptiness. We we're sitting on the sofa with my husband when SheYang suddenly entered the hall. Zeyu stared at her like he was going to kill her, he stood up and gave her a smirk.

"Tell me the truth, SheYang, do you envy Zhubao?" he asked that made me stood up with my husband, Zeyu's tone was really mad.

"I am not, why would I be?" SheYang laughed; her tone was like she was joking about what she has told him. "I will never get mad at her; she didn't even do anything-"

"I know you we're the one who ripped this picture apart into small pieces it can be, how brutal you can happen to be." Zeyu stepped forward in anger, I blocked my arm, but he just pushed me away. "Didn't you know that this picture is the most important to me, I've been keeping it for 20 years, and you just ruined it!"

"Zeyu, can you please calm the fuck down, this couldn't be fixed in an alternative way. Do it in a right way, Zeyu—"

"No, this is just ain't right, she broke my trust, now I am sure that I would never fall in love with a girl like her!" Zeyu yelled that made me froze for a moment but blocked him using my arms the moment he attempted to hit SheYang. "You're a total psycho!"

"Did I even wanted to wreak havoc into your life, I fell, I don't know why. I could do anything just for you to notice and appreciate my presence around you, you even acted like I am not even existing in this fucking world. Are you even a man?" she yelled back.

"I am a man for a deserving woman, and it is probably not you, SheYang. Because you're just a burden, you do not belong into our life, you just entered without our permission and now demanding me to love your back, I'd rather be just eaten by a shark, or drown on a sinked ship than to love a woman like you. Psycho!" He yelled.

"Zeyu, it's enough!" Ji yelled, "You're acting like a child—"

"Maybe I am, I just wish I am still just a little child, that is still admiring Zhubao from afar, a child who doesn't know about her, about love, about her being a total leech on our lives. She stole three million dollars in our trading company, I tried taking it back, but she sent it to someone in States." He confessed, Zeyu looked at me while giving a grin. "Now you know, she didn't only break my trust, even yours and everyone's, looks like this is the end of your sipping, leech!"
