Chapter 2

"So, Jamie, what do you want to listen to?" Mitch asked.
"Umm... Wizard of Ahhs?" I said. I loved that song.
"Yes!!!" Said Scott, pumping his fist in the air.
"Scott!! You're driving! Remember what happened last time you got excited driving?" Said Mitch, grabbing the wheel.
"Oops!"
"What happened?" I asked.
"Umm... I kinda crashed into the garage and... yeah. Let's listen to Wizard of Ahhs!"
Mitch put it on and I started to sing Kirstie's part, they sang theirs, and when it was over Mitch just looked at me.
"Wow, Jamie, you're a really good singer!"
"I honestly thought that was Kirst." Said Scott.
"Thanks." I said, blushing.
Mitch leaned over and whispered something in Scott's ear.
"Probably. Ask him if he wanted it to be a surprise." He whispered(badly) back.
A few minutes later, Mitch got a text.
"We can tell her!" He said excitedly.
"Tell me what?" I asked from the back seat.
"Well, two things. One, everyone is at our apartment ready to meet you, and... there's someone your age there. You know her."
"Who?!?" I asked, leaning forward.
"Her name is Isabelle, she was at the same orphanage as you, and Kevin adopted her last year. Did you know her? She said she remembers you."
"Izzy?!? Extremely blue eyes and brown hair and a really big geek and a really good singer?"
"I take it you know her?" Mitch laughed.
"YES!!!! She was my best friend!! We used to obsess over you guys all the time. She was actually my roommate cause they did rooms based on age and she's exactly a month older than me."
"Well Kevin just texted me saying that she's crying right now, so she's probably excited to see you."
About ten minutes later, we pulled into their-our- driveway and I ran out of the car. I bounced up and down impatiently until they opened the door. I ran into the living room and saw everyone, but I ran straight for Izzy. I had missed her. We hugged, and I started crying.
"Hey!!!"
"Heyo!!!!!" That was what she always said. I saw Kevin smiling.
"I think you know everyone already." Mitch said.
"Kirstie Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, and Avriel Kaplan." I smiled at that last one.
"Your her favorite and she used to call herself Mrs. Avi." Said Izzy laughing.
"Shut up! I did not!" I said, my face turning bright red.
"Did too!!"
"Oh jeez. Should I be worried?" Avi asked.
"No, I won't go too crazy."
"Okay, then come here." He said, pulling me into a big hug. Everyone joined into and I was the center of a huge Pentatonix hug.
"Welcome to the family, Jamie." Scott said.
I finally had a family. A real, actual, family. With 4 dads and one mom. I was home.
