I wrote this as part of my 10th grade English class. It's about the entire year 2020 for me, which started with a stressful finals period, lockdown, and then a loved one getting sick. Hope you enjoy~

Expectations and sleepless nights Anxiety of mountain heights Pens of exhausted ink Hours passing in a blink Have tried to bring me pain But I got healed by my faith.
Departed and bereaved souls Imprisonment by our own homes Long texts of goodbyes In place of hugs and cries Have tried to make it rain But I was covered by my faith.
Pain of a loved one Desire to just run Rampant hospital trips Constant quivering lips Have tried, but in vain To sever me from my faith.
Through the swings and blows The downfalls and lows Stumbling through this wreck I'll say with every breath "The only thing that keeps me sane Is my unbreakable bond with faith."
