Disclaimer: I do not ship Leni and BongBong. This was made because I was bored during the election period tapos ngayon presidente na si bongbong haha okay.

The sound of applauses were defeaning to the female presidential candidate. Her smile still plastered on her face as she looked around the crowd, the hosts, and the competition.

All of her male competitors looked at her with either passive, judging, and admiring stares. But the glance she was hoping to see was never present; he never was anyway.

Her heeled shoes tapped with anxiety as the hosts wrapped up the debate, thanking those who were present to support their candidates and a small majority of whom were there despite their absent candidate.

The voices of the crowd hushed the farther she went back stage; her nerves were all over the place as her heartbeat began to calm down slightly.

Although she was happy and proud about her answers, a hint of sadness panged her heart whenever she glanced at the empty podium across hers.

Of course, the bastard wasn't present once again for a debate, it was to be expected but that didn't mean Leni didn't miss him every passing moment.

She wants to be on stage with him, exchanging answers and quiffs, laying down platforms for the community, and proving to their supporters who is more qualified to lead the country.

"Tapos na pala ang laban?" A voice spoke up behind her. Leni's heels stopped clacking as she turned around.

Bongbong was standing in front of her, a playful smile tugging his lips. His red polo shirt was still an aching view in Leni's eyes, but it's part of his charm. How? We will never know.

Leni raised an eyebrow, "Hmm, ngayon ka lang magpapakita kung kailan tapos na ang laban? Acting like a true coward bbm." She laughed, her tone lacking any humor or joy.

Leni stepped forward. "Tell me, how can I have the satisfaction of defeating you if you keep running away? I don't like fighting weak people, Bong."

The man's smirk only grew; he raised his hands as a sign of defeat, "Sino nagsabing tumatakas ako? It's a tactical strategy, sweetheart."

"You never change, even if it's for your reputation or for the country. You're still caught up in your past." Leni's tone was serious, making Bongbong lose his smile.

"What can I say? I was happy in the past. I had fame, fortune, and.." His eyes trutted to Leni's face, "I had you."

A sudden rush of blood crawled up Leni's cheeks not expecting the bold answer, she bit her lip and looked at him with bitterness, "The past will never be brought back bb, you should stop thinking about it and focus on the present and future."

Their gazes locked within each other, longing, sadness, and love mixed in their stares desperately trying to find something to ground them back to reality.

"Miss Leni?! Nandyan pa po ba kayo?" They both flinched and looked away when Leni's secretary shouted from across the hallway.

Leni sighed. she took a step back and smiled at Bongbong, "Aalis nako, sana naman sa susunod umattend ka na."

Bongbong returned the smile, albeit a little sad, "No promises." And he watches Leni's figure disappear at the corner, her pink dress was nowhere to be seen, and he let himself be consumed by misery.

Red and Pink are both colors of Roses, the flower of love sprouting during their younger years but slowly wilted as the love they used to water it with became dry until it became non-existent. And now, the rose is dead, and so is their love.
