Ch 4

Max POV

I was just hanging with some of my friends when my favorite person walked in. I know she didn’t realize I was there until her friend pointed over here and she looked stunned.

She settled in and to my excitement she was right next to me. I took this as my opportunity to get her to talk to me.

“Hey Jess, missed you these past few days.” I said.

“I was around, I just happened to be where you weren’t.” She said.

“Great now we can catch up on what happened.” I said cockily.

She was starting to get bored and she was looking away and I was just getting annoyed at this point. I had a plan that she would never see coming.

“Hey you remember when I said I won’t forget what we did.” I said as I put my arm around her.

I was so close to her it made me think how much I wanted to kiss her and just be with her. I had to shake this, I don’t want to let her have a spell over me so I did the only thing I could think of, and the next thing I knew we were both under water.

I came right up and I knew I was in for it.

“What the hell was that for?” She said angrily.

“Something to break the silly little trance you were in.” I said innocently.

I got the mood back to normal but I could see I didn’t make her too mad and this is going to make it a lot easier than I thought.

“That was totally uncool.” She said.

“Well you know me” I said.

“If you try and do something like that again, you’re dead.” She said “so do you want to go to the beach since Chels totally ditched me.”

“As long as this time you go in the water.” I said coolly.

“Deal.” She said.

It was so good to have her around but I can’t actually get that close to her. She is my favorite little twerp to pick on and I want her as that. I need to reel in my feelings or else.

We got to the beach and I knew she wasn’t paying attention so I got the jump on her.

“Last one to the water has to buy the next round.” I yelled as I got a head start.

“Get ready to lose.” She said.

I knew over the year since I last saw I was faster and she was getting annoyed because she was grunting. I saw from the corner of my eye she was planning something so at the last minute I caught her in midair and ran my fastest to the water and threw her in.

I knew it shocked her and she tried to whack me but I caught her and held as tight as I could and even though she tried her hardest to get out I wouldn’t let her.

“Why do you keep doing this to me?” She asked me.

“Well for one it’s fun to see you get wet because I know you hate it.” He said staring cockily at me. “And second, I said told you I would never let you forget.”

"You’re right and I don't think I will forget how you are crushing me." She said out of breath.

I was laughing when all of the sudden she punched me

"Ow, what was that for?" I asked.

“You know what it was for.” She said but I was a little confused “for throwing me in, and since I can’t actually kill you I can at least hurt you.”
