The moment your eyes open, you're greeted by an endless sea of sky, vast and boundless.
The air around you feels thick, almost oppressive, as if it's holding its breath.
A gust of wind sweeps past, biting cold against your skin, causing the hairs on the back of your neck to stand up.
You spin around, instinctively bracing yourself, and there she is—a blue-skinned woman, her serene figure floating in place as though gravity itself bends to her will.
Her robe billows slightly in the breeze, and there's something oddly familiar about the way it shimmers, though you can't place it.
Y/N: "Where... am I?"
Your voice comes out a little weaker than you'd like, almost swallowed by the air.
Your eyes dart around, searching for any clue.
Her presence draws your attention back, her gaze cool and unreadable.
You take a step forward, squinting at her, as if trying to pull the memory from the depths of your mind.
Y/N: "Who are you? And why am I here?"
You narrow your eyes, trying to piece together where you’ve seen her before.
Vados: "You asked Champa to train you."
Her lips curl into a soft, enigmatic smile.
Vados: "I am Vados, his angel. I teleported you here for... pickup."
She tilts her head slightly, her staff shimmering as she speaks.
Vados: "He said he saw promise in you, and I’m here to unlock it."
Recognition sparks in the back of your mind.
Y/N: "Vados..." He pauses, remembering her. Scanning her angel appearance "I asked him to train me four years ago, before the Tournament of Power even started. I... forgot."
You rub the back of your neck sheepishly, the weight of time hitting you.
Y/N: "Sorry... it's just been a while since that crazy adventure."
Vados glides closer, resting a hand on your shoulder.
Her touch is light, yet you can feel the power behind it— a calm force.
Vados: "You are forgiven."
She taps her staff against the air, and a ripple spreads beneath your feet, the world around you beginning to blur as the two of you teleport away.
Both of you are soon arriving on Champa's planet.
The purple cat can be seen sleeping in the sunlight as you walk over to him, but Vados stops you before you can even attempt to speak.
Vados: "Don't speak loud, he is asleep. You'll train while he is asleep to avoid having him want to assist you in any shape or form..."
You childishly cover your mouth before tiptoeing around the planet as Vados facepalms, then beams you into her staff.
You look around confused before Vados herself appears in a holographic type of form.
