'These two must have been though a lot.' Ethan thought sadly," My husband is right you know, you and your brother have nothing to fear here. We are a strange family and can do things that no normal person can do." He said before he could add more Neil entered the room holding the masks he had been working on. Tom stared at the teen in shock at the fact that the boy had no eyes.

Neil smiled showing sharp teeth, "I'm Neil, I think these are yours and your brother's? they were found near you both." He said, placing the masks on Tom's lap. Tom grabbed the smiling mask and put it on with a sigh. Ethan smiled as the boy seemed to relaxed. 'Must be a comfort item.' Ethan thought as the boy lifted the mask a bit to take a sip from the cup. Tom's eyes widened as he drank the hot chocolate like it was the first drink he had in a long time. Neil's eyes sockets widened before he looked to his adopted father. When Ethan nodded to him, he left to get the younger boy a glass of water.

"Tom, How long has it been since you had any food or water?" The man said softly. The boy looked at him before a sad look appeared in his eyes.

"Our parents didn't want us so we had to take care of ourselves. It's hard when your so small to feed yourself and your brother." He answered sadly, "It's been a long time since we had any real food or water. Our dad called us demons, and mom tried to kill us by locking us in a room and starting a fire." Sadness filled Ethan at the young boy's words.

"No one is gonna treat you like that here. We care for each other is this home." Ethan said then the sound of a bell rang out. "Sounds like dinner is ready. You can stay here and I'll have one of the children bring you yours."

Ethan left and Tom looked out a window that was next to his bed with a sigh. Outside looked beautiful, with a large yard and field after it. Three trees sat to one side connected by a large treehouse. Tom wondered what it would be like to actually get to play in it. To have fun was a dream or fantasy to the twins. He tried to think about a time they actually had fun at all but couldn't think of one.

"I wonder if we get to actually play games or even just relax, Tim." Tom whispered. Tom turned with a smile to his unconscious brother.

"Who knows if they will let us do anything, but maybe they will be nicer than our real parents." Tim's voice echoed in his mind, " They told us about there powers so maybe we can tell them ours?" Tim added before a pale bald boy came into the room.

"Hello, I'm Lloyd. "The boy said holding a plate out to Tom. "I hope you like dinner." Tom took it and placed it on his lap. On the plate was a bowl of beef stew with some bread and water to drink. Lloyd sat down on the edge of the bed before looking over to the brother sadly.

"Are we gonna be allowed to play outside?" Lloyd looked back at Tom with shock in his eyes.

"Yea, Well after you and your brother get better. We could play games and hang out with my siblings. Rose will want to have tea parties and play dress up, Neil and his friend Manny will probably play games with us in the treehouse or in the forest. We could also go to Auntie Dimi's castle and play there with her daughters. Auntie Dana and her dolls know of fun games or Uncle Mero will let us swim at his home." Tom smiled softly at the thought of so much fun they could have.

"We never got to have fun before. Our parents hated us so we didn't get to play even with our other siblings. We were always made to be servants instead of family." Tom whispered before taking a spoonful of stew and eating. Lloyd watched Tom sadly before standing.

"I'm gonna let you eat and rest but I'll be back later to hang out." Lloyd said as he left the room. Tom glanced up as he left before returning to his dinner.

"Tim, he's gone." Tom whispered softly. A shadowy version of Tim appeared before him before siting on the edge of Tom's bed.

"The people here are nice to each other. Their worried about us both, It's actually nice to be cared for even if my body is unconscious." Tim's voice came from the shadow. "I'm glad we practiced our powers cause I wouldn't be able to do this for long if we hadn't."

Tom nodded before looking outside. "It's nice to actually have real food." Tim's shadow crawled up to the side then laid down. After finishing the meal, Tom laid down to rest.
