Rose of Friendship

Water falls down onto the dark dirt quenching it's thirst

Welcoming the rain so eagerly does the dirt drink

After spending days and days in the ever tiring drought

It's no wonder that after a good rain that the ground sprouts green

and soon to follow are the the seeds falling from the trees

Before you notice it a seed lands in the healthy patch of land

Slowly the bud comes out of the ground and basks in the sun

Sunshine, a few rain showers, and a great care taker is all that it needs to grow

Soon out pops a goregeous flower that outstreches its arms to the sun that helped it grow

and tightly it grasps onto the rays of the sun and never lets them go.

When I look at that flower I think of my friendship with you.

Before I met you I was in a drought like state with our friendship

Then when we started talking fot the first time it was like rain to that quenced dirt

But as we started talking more and created a grassy landscape filled with serenity

Slowly a friendship between us was growing

Suddenly both of us had some intense conversations filled with heartache, love, and happiness which drew us closer.

Maybe God knew we needed each other as friends so he was like that Caretaker that helped us grow though it all.

Wrapping our arms around each other when something terrible happens and when something happy happens is the best thing of all.

The flower before was a rose.

Our flower is a rose and still continues to grow.

Even though there might be troubles along the way, I'll stick beside you no matter what.

I'm glad I have you as my friend.

No one could ever replace someone as special as you.

I just have to say that this has been the best friendship I've ever had.
