The day was scorching hot when I finished getting ready for school. After a very long deliberation with my father, Alpha Roman and Aries, they finally agreed that it is not that dangerous for me to go to school. But it was under one condition that I cannot shift in school, not even in training and Aries agreed.

Aries is driving me to school today and I ignored him the whole drive. He wasn't talking either. He is still upset about me, running from him yesterday and insisting on coming to school.

"If you're going to be mad at me, then get mad at me in my face and don't avoid me." It was bold of him to say that when there were many times that I felt like he was avoiding me.

"Did you not see the forecast?" I ignore him. "It will rain later this afternoon."

I blinked in surprise. I did not see the forecast. I just know that it was scorching hot when we left he packhouse, so I ended up wearing a shirt and a pair of shorts, not bothering to grab any umbrella. It's not like I will get sick anyway. Though I really hate the wind.

I still refuse to talk to him until we get to school. Even when I left his truck, I didn't say anything to him.

"Lyca! My hero!" Kara was screaming as she runs to me. Tammy and Iris running after her.

"What?" I ask her confused.

She talked about the attack the other night. Apparently, they found out that it was my idea that the attack in Suncrest was simply a diversion of the other attacks that was going to happen, saving lives that night. It's just a shame that Andre and Kyla has lost their former and current Beta.

None of Andre's pack came to school yesterday and today. I wonder how they are doing.

"It's not my credit to take." I tell them.

"Girl!" Iris protested. "If you let them go to Suncrest that night and didn't tell them that other packs will be attacked too, then we could've lost more lives that night. It is your credit!"

"Agree!" Tammy seconded and I shook my head.

"We should get to our classes. They're about to start." I tell them and Kara suddenly nudged me.

"Spoken like a true Luna." She wiggled her eyebrows on me, and her eyes darted to Aries who was on his way to his office.

"No one's becoming a Luna." I tell her and take my seat in class.

"He rejected you?" she asked me, her eyes almost bulging out of her eye sockets.

"I am not his mate for him to reject, but yes, he did." I tell her with a straight face, hiding the fact that every word that came out of my mouth was pinching my heart.

My mind was everywhere the whole morning. At lunch time, the rain started to fall heavy, and the wind is freaking nuts.

North Cape weather is a joke. There's a lot of days where it is summer in the morning and winter in the afternoon, then spring, then autumn. We experience more seasons in a day than a tropical country in a whole year.

I try to dig my locker hoping for a misplaced jacket to cover myself from the impetuous wind.

I shut my locker in dismay when a piece of garment suddenly landed on my head. It reeks of Aries' scent.

There was a collective gasp around us, and I pull the fabric off of my head and stared at it. It is Aries' jacket and I see him not too far from us, walking away.

"I thought he rejected you?" Kara whispered, staring at the jacket on my hand. I sighed, annoyed.

I marched towards him, but marching was not enough to catch up to him, so I ended up running. He is in front of his office when I reach him and I grab his arm, turning him to me.
