Nothing was more like Summer in Hawkins. It was a sunny bright day, the sunrays beaming onto the windows that blinded students who stared. You were one of the many kids attending highschool. Everyone, separated by groups of interest. You had to be seated sadly outside, never finding a certain spot to be welcomed from these.. Groups. Though, there was always that one rowdy club that disturbed everyone, the Freaks. Whenever you heard about them, you scoffed. Everyone can't have hobbies or likes of interest, you never saw D&D as a 'devils' game. You used to play it with your younger brothers back in Nevada, before any of your family members decided to move to the small town of Hawkins for the rest of your life. You didn't mind it, the town was quite homey, but having a rough past of mystery. You were up for the search to search Hawkin's riddled works.

Sitting on the side of the cafeteria walk-platform, you sighed. Teachers excused your presence, having permission from the principal. You weren't a goody-two-shoes to get valuable information or permission from the principal, it was just so you could atleast try to smooth yourself into the community. Well, that's working out totally fine for you. But, sometimes sitting outside of the cafeteria, Ms. Kelley would talk to you and eat with you. It was nice talking to someone like her, expressing your concerns and wonders. She was such a parental figure to you, always helping you out in serious situations that you'd need to get away from, like your mom or dad.

You placed down your headphones that were connected to your walkman, sliding them around your neck. A tray of food that wasn't in your range of appetite sat next to you, whilst you hammered onto your Game boy. You were heavily invested into your game, Tetris, which to your dismay you were struggling to beat the few levels. Your high score was just above from where you were currently.

You groaned, losing to the game as you shook your head in disappointment. You were upset, but you didn't honestly seem to care. Turning to your food, you took the sandwich that laid in the sun. Taking it, you took down a few bites. It was..good to say the least. You didn't want to waste food, it's bad but you didn't honestly care. No one was around to watch, right?

"Well if it isn't the mysterious girl of the school," You jolted, turning around instantly. Shoving your gameboy into your pocket, you stared at the dark-brunette boy appearing out of the corner of the cafeteria hallway. You stared, shocked to see that you were being approached by one of the presumed freaks of the school. "What do you want?" You spat back, staring at him. "Hostile are we? I'm gravely sorry if I uh.. Interrupted anything," He apologised. He stopped where he was, his hands tucked into his tight blue jeans. Fumbling with the chain, a piece of black and white decorated cloth laid tightly clasped in his back jeans pockets.

"Well, you seem to be quite busy aren't you?" He spoke, clapping his hands together. They interlocked as you just swung your legs back and forth on the side of the walkway. "Well, of course I am. I am talking to my ghost friend, Joseph." You said, a shit-eating grin planted on your face. He gave a small smile, chuckling as he walked closer a bit. The sun shined onto his face, even though you'd never admit it, he did look rather very handsome. "Ah, certainly! It's nice meeting you.. Joseph, wherever you are," He bowed a bit, his hand laid on his stomach as you just giggled. It was quite a funny interaction that you've had, being someone that's always been homeschooled since Nevada was quite a disaster at times.

"Alright, enough games, what do you need?" You finished the little reenactment, staring at the boy. He tried to think of something, his mouth agape, only to close afterwards. "I'm uh.. I'm Eddie, you may know me as-" "The leader of the freaks?" You cut him off. You were surprised, the leader of the D&D club is talking to you. "So you've heard of me? Why, I am flattered." He said back, he laughed a bit. Eddie shook his head as he looked away, thinking that this is the end. The girl he really wanted to talk to after all these weeks, knowing him as the leader of the 'freaks'.

"Yes, of course I have. Your group is quite popular, stating in the newspaper that D&D is a demonic game within Satan's conundrum, but don't think I'm believing that it's right," you reassured after spotting his change of mood. You gave a small smile at him, as he brightened up after. "Really?- I mean, that's great to see there's someone that doesn't believe we're freaks!" He said excitedly. It felt a lot better, talking to someone like Eddie. Though you never showed interest in interacting, you always were fascinated with what Eddie has the courage to do. Like that one time where he was on the table, calling every group out that was within the cafeteria, and the one with Jason. God, you hated Jason's guts.

"Well of course not, I used to play D&D a lot when I was younger. Me, my brothers, and cousins played it tons of times. Whilst my uncle was the Dungeon master, I was just someone that my brother needed support for whenever they were in a tight situation, who knew my luck on winning almost any round," you stated. You laughed at the funny memories of your uncle, chasing you around to tickle-attack you whenever you won the round. Your brothers, cheering you on whilst your cousins were just happy to win their first ever round.

"Are you experienced with D&D?" Eddie questioned, looking at you. You weren't, honestly you were just there to roll your brother's dice at times for his luck. "Not.. necessarily, I never got trained or taught to play it, I only say I 'used' to play it a lot because of what I said. My brothers had only needed me for rolls or my impressive luck that appeared out of nowhere to win," Eddie nodded slowly. He was now getting the story. He wasn't disappointed, mad, or anything. He was hooked into it, suddenly as if a light-bulb could've appeared, he shot some fingers at you.

"I can teach you! Only if you're interested, of course." He suggested. You were surprised, this was the first ever interaction you'd possibly get. With the thought of being trained by someone like Eddie, a smile stretched across your face. "Of course," you said. You had accepted to join Eddie's battlefield, as he smirked.

"Well then, [...], Welcome to Hellfire Club."
