Joe had invited his girlfriend Y/N onto the set for series 4 of Stranger Things. He was filming his last scenes with Gaten and it was very emotional and extremely sad, Y/N was behind the camera with the Duffer brothers watching the scene unfold, and when she saw the raw intensity of everything that was happening she couldn't help but start to cry. She watched as her boyfriend of three years lied in Gaten's arms getting ready to die for his scene, once the scene was over and everyone was applauding the acting and chemistry between Gaten and Joe, Y/N had in fact slipped off set and went into her boyfriends trailer because she was an emotional wreck. She of course knew it was only acting but she couldn't help herself from bursting into tears while watching the harrowing scene.
While she was sat on the sofa still slightly crying about what she had seen Joe was excited to see his girlfriend and hear what she thought of his performance, but when he came off the set and walked behind the cameras he could see that his girlfriend was nowhere to be found which confused him. He walked up to Maya who had also watched the scene and asked if she had seen Y/N
"I don't know she was here a minute ago." Maya told Joe so he nodded his head and walked away from his friend to try and find Y/N, he went to his trailer straight away thinking that was where she was going to be and he was right in thinking that. When he opened the door Y/N tried her best to wipe the tears from her eyes
"Y/N?" Joe called out to his girlfriend and when he saw her sitting on the sofa with a red face and wetness on her cheeks he was really concerned "What's wrong?" He asked as he crouched down in front of her holding her hands in his.
"Promise me you'll never leave me." She whispered and that shocked Joe he didn't expect this scene to upset her so much
"I promise you I am never going to leave you Y/N." He said as he wiped his girlfriend's eyes to stop more tears from falling, she nodded her head slowly and he hugged her body tightly
"I love you Joe I can't imagine my life without you so you have to stay, please always stay." She whimpered
"Always." He said softly as he kissed the top of her head and sat on the sofa beside her, he pulled his girlfriend into his body and held her in his arms as she stopped crying and just hugged her boyfriend back
"Your scene was amazing by the way. I just had to leave because it hurt me seeing you like that. I know it's only acting but it still hurt me." Y/N told her boyfriend
"I'm fine Y/N, I will always be fine." He told her honestly as his gave her a loving kiss before the two just lied on the sofa together in each other's arms.
