"Walk with me, Bella," Taehyung looked intimidating in his suit and umbrella that kept him safe from the sun. He reminded me a lot of a gentle from the 20th century. I had my graduation overcoat dropped across my arm, the diploma in my hand.

"Is your congestion gone?" I asked him.

"I've felt better, thank you," Taehyung grumbled. "But, I don't think I regret it that much."

We stood far away from the party, though I knew there were at least a few people in the crowd who could listen to us if they wanted to.

"I know I'll have to repay you one day," I told Taehyung.

"Yes, but that day won't be for a while."

"How can you be so sure?"

I looked at Taehyung, the slight uncanniness of his looks. I noted how the girls around him were looking at him, the esteemed cousin of Fork's High's swimmer.

"I think you will make an excellent vampire," Taehyung said. "But I also find that you are an extraordinary human being. I want you to live it as a graduation gift before anyone tries to take it away."

"Why the sudden softness?"

"Because you make Jungkook a giddy lovesick fool," Taehyung grumbled. "What more is there to it?"

I felt the blood rush to my face. "Really?"

"Oh not you too," he groaned. "Don't make me regret it. Are you sure that my blood is already out of your system and I can't just snap you right now?"

"Stop chiding her, Tete," Jimin pretty much appeared next to him. "Stop threatening an 18-year-old and let her go to her family, they're looking for her.

After all this time, I finally saw Jimin in person. He was like an angel with his baby blonde hair that was swept to the back. I gathered I may have seen him the day Victoria bit me, but I was in and out of consciousness for that one.

"I wouldn't do it," Taehyung muttered.

"But that doesn't mean she knows it's a joke," Jimin scolded. "Sorry, Bella. He's a little out of touch."

"None taken."

He urged me to move on while the two vampires stood in the shade. I wonder how they went on with their day knowing that the sun will hurt them, but maybe that was a question I would ask another day and another time.

My father had been talking to Angela's mom when I arrived. Charlie wrapped an arm around me.

"Look at you, Bells. Who would have thought?" I felt the pride creep up in his voice. "We've come a long way since September haven't we?"

I remembered the beginning of the school year, and the pain I was put through. The months I couldn't remember as I worked on autopilot. I regretted missing those months, all of the things I could have been doing. I could have gone to homecoming, I could have gone to more football games or swim meets. I made the mistake of keeping my happiness in one basket only and felt the repercussions. I kept my feelings to myself and they ate me up.

"It was," I said simply. "It was a time."

"I can't wait to see what you will do next," Charlie rubbed my arm. "As long as it's not a drug cartel, I'll be happy."

Angela and Jessica waved at me from the food buffet. We would all go over to the Cullen's place later for the party and they'd once more have the terrible honor of doing my make-up for me as I was never taught how to. I saw the Cullens and their new family addition. They had adopted one of the newborns from the battle, a young teenager by the name of Bree. They had kept her safe from the Volturi. Maybe I'd get to know her more one day, but I had no reason to talk to her at this moment. Her eyes still looked reddish-brown, the indication of the human blood that ran through her veins. Perhaps I will learn a thing or two about her when Alice begged me to come over again.
