As we walked we stopped at a big brown building that had a wilderness-like vibe.
Outside had plastic wood logs against the door with an acorn as the door handle.
Briseis opened the door and we walked inside; The floor was green tile, the glass containing the ice cream had stickers of bears, owls, and brides against them.
The inside of Artemis sweet treats was beautiful and thanks to Achilles I know why it's decorated the way it's decorated.
Apparently Artemis the owner of the shop used to be a professional hunter, She would give people lessons, explain the rules of hunting, and of course hunt herself.
She then met and fell in love with another woman named Callisto who was at the time getting a degree in business.
When they got married Artemis decided to leave her hunting job and her and her wife Callisto opened an ice cream shop.
Apparently there's a bunch all over the world and it's become a whole franchise despite me never hearing of it.
"Hey what can I get y'all?" The man at the counter asked
Iphigenia skipped and started asking for samples, Briseis who was behind her ordered a "Great Bear Oat milkshake".
Dementia was still standing next to me and Achilles.
"Achilles me and you should share a Sundae" Dementia asked and held his hand
"Oh you guys share a Sundae?" I asked feeling nauseous
"Not really she buys an Sundae but can never finish it so we end up sharing" Achilles explained
"I know but I'm just so small and can never finish anything like I never gain weight it's truly a curse" She pouted and pushed her hair back
"The Sundae actually really good, You should get it" He told me
I nodded in agreement as we all together walked to the cashier.
Dementia ordered the Sundae with everything on it, Achilles ordered a Neapolitan ice cream shake, and I ordered the same Sundae Dementia order.
The ice cream Sundae was so pretty. It was a scope of 10 ice cream flavors. We sat down at a booth and started eating and drinking our ice cream.
"So" Iphigenia said as she took a lick of her three scoop ice cream cone
"Patroclus, are you excited to be our treasurer?" Iphigenia asks me
"Treasurer?" I asked confused as I licked the whip cream off my Sundae
"That's our missing position, The one you filled, Didn't Achilles tell you?" Briseis asked me
I didn't want to lie so I shook my head
"Well you'll be our treasurer" Iphigenia told me trying to brush off the awkwardness
"Okay what are all your positions?" I asked wanting to show them that I was interested
"Well I'm our schools historians I know everything about both schools, I know where the name comes from, I know why we're separated by sexes, and I know every scandal" Iphigenia explain and winked at me
"Dementia our school event planner, she picked the themes for our dances, charities, and stuff like that" Iphigenia explained while Dementia was eating her ice cream pretty much ignoring us
"And Achilles and Briseis are our President and vice President, They do everything" Iphigenia jokes
"I do everything" Briseis added
"And you'll be our treasurer you basically have the easiest job out of all of us, all you have to do is count money and tell us what we can and can't afford" Iphigenia finished and started eating her cone
"Oh fun" I coughed feel nervous
"By the way we meet every Weekday and we have band on the weekends" Iphigenia let me know
"What do we talk about on Wednesday?" I asked
"He didn't tell you? Achilles, what did you tell him?" Briseis asked Achilles clearly annoyed
"I told him that you're pretty when your mad at me" Achilles joked and winked at her while shooting a finger gun at her which made her even more annoyed
"Wednesdays are generic meetings, we update each other on anything we know and sometimes if there is an event at another school we have to go to we're usually know 2 weeks prior" Briseis explained as she finished her milkshake
"And we wear pink" Iphigenia added
"No we do not" Briseis immediately shuts her down
"Oh and we go to other schools?" I asked
"Not often but it happens" Briseis shrugs
"Cool I glad to be part of the team" I joked ad rubbed the back of my head anxiously
"Achilles, I'm full again, wanna share the rest?" Dementia said in baby like voice and pushed a spoonful of chocolate ice cream to Achilles face
Achilles took the spoon and ate it and Dementia giggled as she licked the spoon and then scooped up more ice cream.
I thought it was kinda gross but I guess everyone else was used to it because no one said anything or had a reaction.
After we said goodbye to each other, I had the rest of my ice cream in a to-go box because I couldn't finish it and I did want Mom to try it.
Achilles and I walked home holding hands and when we got to my house we hugged each other and I waved as he walked away.
I knocked and Dad opened the door and let me in.
"I thought you be at work" I said to him but he just huffed as a response
"Is mom home?" I asked him
"Where else would she be?" He answered rolling her eyes as he sat down on the couch
"Well good because I need to talk to you guys" I told him with a smile
