Itsumi watched the raindrops race each other on her window as she sighed, looking down onto the book she was supposed to be reading but couldn't focus on because of her nerves.

"Why the long face?" Touya, who was sprawled across the foot of her bed with a comic book open at his lap inquired, "You still worried about UA?"

"How could I not be?" Itsumi said, "I've always wanted to be a hero, ever since I was little... couldn't hurt to get into UA, could it?"

"It really couldn't," Touya agreed, grinning slightly. The dim light above Itsumi's bed illuminated his features. His arms were increasingly becoming more and more scattered with whitish scars that Itsumi had tried her best to heal everyday.

"You fall down again?" she sardonically asked, indicating a fresh bruise on his neck as he placed a defensive hand over it, covering it slightly.

"No," he said curtly, "Uh – Natsuo and I were playing."

"What, heroes and villains?" Itsumi asked, "Is that why he strangled you? That bad?"

"Well you know Natsu," he shrugged.

Itsumi looked at him with narrowed eyes but decided not to push it too much knowing that she could only dream of ever getting a truthful, proper response out of this infuriating boy.

"Are you hungry?" she asked, changing the subject, "Mom made some brownies yesterday, they might still be in the fridge."

"Sure," he lazily grinned, "Anything for Mrs. Midoriya's cooking –"

A squeal from the living room cut them both off as they exchanged a panicked glance before bolting to the door.

"Mom!?" Itsumi yelled, "MOM? Are you okay –"

"ITSU, MY DARLING DAUGHTER!" Ikuko threw herself onto Itsumi in a bone-crushing hug, "I'M SO PROUD OF YOU! YOU'LL MAKE SUCH A GREAT HERO ONE DAY!"

"Huh?" Itsumi asked but her doubts were cleared at she spotted the open letter in her mother's hand, bearing the seal of UA High.

"No way," she gasped, "I – I got in!?"

"Yes!" Ikuko yelled happily, "You did! You worked so hard, I'm so proud – oh, Itsumi..."

Touya stood awkwardly on the side, scratching his neck, unaware of what to do.

"What about you, Touya?" Ikuko asked, "Aren't you excited you and Itsumi can go to UA together?"

"Um," Touya began, "I don't know if I got accepted yet..."

"Nonsense," Ikuko snorted, "Number two's son, not get in? Impossible!"

"Touya's his own person, mom," Itsumi rolled her eyes, "Nevertheless a strong one – quit looking like a defeated puppy, if you didn't get in I'll eat my hair."

"Bet," Touya sniggered causing Itsumi to snort.

"Well, we need to celebrate this!" Ikuko said brightly, "I'll cook your favourite for dinner, Itsu – why don't you join us, Touya?"

"Hm? Oh, no!" Touya panicked and shook his head, "Mrs. Midoriya really, I –"

"Come on," Itsumi said, "You can eat with us! Please?"

"I told you, dad's going to be home tonight," Touya said in a low voice.

"So?" Itsumi said, "You're with him everyday, aren't you? I'm sure he'll let you come over for one dinner!"

"You don't get it," Touya began but stopped himself, sighing.

"Family problems," he vaguely lied as Itsumi's eyes widened.

"Well I'd better get started on that dinner," Ikuko awkwardly said, "Nice having you over, Touya." She moved away from them leaving the two alone.

"Did your parents fight or something?" Itsumi whispered.

"Something like that," Touya shrugged, "Not too sure myself. Anyway, it's late – I should get going."

"Well... okay." Itsumi frowned, disappointed, "See you at UA, then."

"Yeah. Assuming I got in."

"Oh shut up, you got in!"

"This place is big," Itsumi remarked as she and Touya stood inside a hallway of the massive UA building, "How will we ever find our way to class?"

"Pretty sure it's the room with a gigantic '1- A' written on it." Touya sarcastically said, laughing slightly as Itsumi's ears turned the slightest shade of pink in embarrassment.

Choosing to ignore the redhead's smirk, she strode forward and took a deep breath, opening the door and moving inside.

Chatter instantly filled her ears. There were people inside – people she had never met and people she recognized feebly from the entrance exam, chattering in groups, none paying too much attention to the two who had just entered through the door.

Not caring, Touya made his way over to a desk at the back of the class and Itsumi followed suit, since they were about the only seats left.

The chattering continued for a few minutes until the door opened with a snap and an indigo-haired woman made her way to the desk as silence fell.

"Good morning, new students!" she said cheerfully, "My name is Midnight, and I'll be your homeroom teacher for this year!"
