chapter 1

I wake up feeling some what ok, and then I turn over snd see the picture of me and my parents with my gran and it all comes flushing back, my mum died 3 years ago and my dsd died 9 months ago. Iv been living with my gran since my dsd died but its getting to much for her so today I'm flying to florida to live with my aunt and uncle. Its 8am "ashton come on your flight is at 11am hurry up" my gran calls and I go downstairs with my suitcases and bags.

"I'm going to miss you alot ashton... promise me you will message me every day after school and give me a phone every couple days?" My gran says "yea gran i Promise" I say and give her a hug. "OK, text me when you get of the plane" she says trying to keep her tears back "and don't let anyone take the mick out of you in that new school you hear me?" She continues and I nod "I wont, the taxie is here i have to go" I say and walk out holding back tears.

I get in the taxie and it brings me to the airport while I listen to music. I go through customs and get on the plane.  10 hours later im in florida. Jet lag is real. I get my stuff and find my aunt and uncle and I do. "Hey aunt beck, hi uncle ronny" I say and my aunt gives me a hug "lets get you home- i mean back to the house" she says and we drive to the house. The house is lovely and big and I get my own big room with a nice bed.

"I'm going over to see Mrs and mr hally next door if you want to come meet them, they have a grandson to I think he's your age" my aunt says while carrying a small bake try with what looks to be rocky Road. "Yea ill come i guess" I say and put my old phone in my pocket "come on then" my aunt says and I fallow her out the door. We walk out the house and see an old couple sitting on the next house overs porch. "Hello Mrs Hall, this is my nephew Ashton hes staying here for awhile, I brought some more try bake stuff for you"

"Oh hello deery, its lovely to meet you, say would you do me a favour and go and put this in the house so it doesn't melt?" The old lady says "yea sure" I say and take the tray inside. I walk into the kitchen and see a tall, blonde boy that seems to have me in a transe until he speaks "who are you?" He says "im ashton, iv just moved in next door with my aunt and uncle" I say and put the try bake down "your gran asked me to put this inside" I say and just stand thare for a second.

"I'm jayden, what school are you going to?" He says and my heart skips a beat at his name.. his voice. "Uh **** high" I say "same, ill see you thare then" he says, I nod and walk back out. "I met jayden" I say and lean against the wall "oh tgats nice, im sure you will get along well with him" mr hally says and I nod. "Well we better be getting home, Ashton has alot to unpack" my aunt says and we go home.

"So what do you think of the neighbors" my aunr asks "the couple seem nice, and jayden i think is nice" I say and she nods "yea they are nice.. also ashton one question, are you gay?" She asks and I stumble back a bit surprised "uh um if I was would you tell anyone?" I say and she shakes her head "OK then yea, I am" I say and walk upstairs to unpack. After maby 3 hours most of my stuff is unpacked and organised, my own blanket and stuff and my picture. Its late by the time I have dinner and so I just go to bed... thinking of the boy next door.

The next morning:

I wake up early and almost have a mini heart attack but then I remember im at my aunt and uncles house. I get up and get changed into some normal black trousers and a white top with an over seized black hoodie and go downstairs for breakfast. I eat my toast and then grab my bag with all my books and stuff. "Have a good day ashton" my aunr says as I walk out the door and I smile at her then get on the bus as my school was now 5 miles away from my house and I canr walk that in the morning.

I grab my coffee and drink it while sitting somewhat neer the back of the bus after a minute I see that same tall, dirty blonde boy again. "Oh hey, ashton" he says "hi jayden" I reply and he sits next to me "so sense you won't have any freinds here you can hang with me and my friends, just so you don't look like a loner sitting by yourself" jayden says and I put a small smile on. "Thanks" I reply and hide how happy I am about this. I sit on the bus with jayden for about 10 minutes maby before one of his freinds show up.

"hey Jay.. who's this?" She says looking at me "oh thats ashton, he just moved in next door to me" jayden says "hi" I say and smile at her. "Oo cute accent, your cute im astra" astra smirks at me and I smile because im trying to keep the whole im gay chat on the down low for just now. "Nice to meet you astra" I say and she sits behind me and jayden. "At the next stop ace will get on and thats all of my freinds that get on the bus" jayden says "ok" I reply.

Just as jayden says a boy gets on at the next stop and walks up to us "hey guys, whos the new guy?" He says "im ashton I just moved in next door to jayden with my aunt and uncle" I say. "Whare are you from you dont hear that accent very often round about here?" He says in a southern accent, im guessing texes. "I'm from London, are you from texes?" I say and he nods "born and bred, im ace by the way its nice to meet you" he says and sits next to astra.

When we arive at school jayden and ace walk me to the principals office to get my locker and time table. "Hello ashton its lovely to finally meet you, your locker is number 39 and this is your time table for the year, im glad to see you havr already made some friends and I dont need to get someone to show you around, jayden do you mind showing ashton the ropes for a few weeks?" The principal says and gives me the code to my locker and my time table.

"No not at all mr Johnston" jayden says and we go to find my locker "my locker is 40 so your stuck with me now" jayden says with chuckle "not a problem" I smirk and reply and we walk over to our locker. "Ashton come meet the crew" jayden says and I walk over "this is Tina and harlow, they are twin brother and sister" he says pointing to a pair of kids. "Thats daxton and kayla, they are a thing and kayla is astra are sisters so they fight like cats and dogs" jayden says.

"And that's Griffin by the way they go my they/them, and thats aubrey and thats it, guys come meet my friend ashton" he says and they all crowd round "hey nice to meet you, my sister is really shy so she won't talk alot" harlow says and waves. "Hi im kayla nice to meet you" kayla says "im daxton" he says "hey im Griffin, they/them" Griffin says "and im aubrey" aubrey smiles at me and I smile back. "Its nice to meet you all, im ashton I just moved in with my aunt and uncle next to jayden" I say with a smile.

The day goes by pretty slowly just standard school apart from the fact im popular here, its nice to not be pushed around for a change. I'm trying to keep the secret of my sexuality but its hard when I'm having astra and aubrey fight over me. Most guys would kill to have two girls that look like that fighting over them but as I said, if rather those girls be jayden and ace. Ace is a really nice guy, not from around here and only moved her a year ago and a bit ago so we have the new and forin in commen.

Kayla and astra fight like cats and dogs but they are both nice to me, daxton is a bit standoff-ish but ace says thats just what he does with new people. Tina is really shy but she's started to open up a but and talk to me, and harlow is just the protective big brother that everyone needs and Griffin is so sweet but I bit closed off and anxious. I like this school, I have friends and I'm liked here "hey ashton, me and the crew are meeting in the town to hang out at the bar, wanna come ill drive you thare" jayden says "you have a Car?" I ask "yea it's in the shop I gotta pick it up" he replies.

"Donr you havr to be 21 here to get alcohol?" I ask "fake IDs exist ash" jayden says and I smirk "did you just call me ash?" I smile "uh yea" he says "its ok i kinda like it" I say and jayden smiles. His smile makes my heart drop and a realise how much of a huge massive crush I have on him. "Anyway we are gonna go to the movies before we go to the bar you down?" Jaden asks while we walk out to get on the bus "yea just knock at my door when ur leaving" I say and he nods.

I go home to get ready...
