Chris quickly chastised the interns for not removing themselves from the raft quick enough after they had mounted the camera for the opening scene of what is apparently considered "reality" television these days. Interns were to be used to test insurance policies and provide amusement according to your father. However, as the boat kept its increasing pace before stalling out to a halt at the dock, a wave flung the raft, sending the interns flying but the camera firmly mounted in place. Chris exploded with delight, holding his chest with his right arm."Oh, that is too good!" He cried out, righting himself and assigning himself into his showtime persona, even mockingly wiping a tear from under his eye. "If only we had gotten that on film." He grinned before turning around and pointing finger guns at what you assumed was a hidden camera somewhere on the dock. "Oh wait! We did!" He continued his hysterical enjoyment of his own joke as a shrill but garbled voice interrupted it. It stemmed from a shorter girl, roughly your age, if not younger. Her brown hair was in a ponytail and her bright, nearly neon, outfit exploded against the light of the midday sun.
"It's so credulous to meet you!" She squealed as she ran to your father and embraced him before stepping back. The lisp in her voice stemming from her braces causing her to sprinkle spit as she spoke. "Wow, you're a lot shorter in real life." You stifled your laughter as Chris leaned away before droning out uneasily.
"Okay....thanks." He said before his eyes drifted to the camera and the show was on. "Beth, ladies and gentlemen!" She smiled, her braces reflecting the sun's rays as she waved to the camera before walking over to you.
"Oh your god, it's so nice to meet you! I'm Beth! I love your piercings!" Beth said, reaching out to embrace you but you leaned carefully back from your position on the suitcase, to avoid the physical interaction. Your hand flew to your ear where your most recent piercing had been placed. Fiddling with your industrial, a bad habit you had brought to all your new piercings, you nodded.
"Nice to meet you too, I'm [Y/N]." You took your other hand and stuck it out, which she took as an opportunity to grasp your hand tightly, shaking it like a dog trying to win an intense game of tug of war.
"This is going to be so much fun..." Her cries were buried under the sound of the boat returning, dropping off a new camper. Carrying two large duffel bags off of the boat, a light skinned man walked towards Chris.
"D.J." Chris crooned as they high fived.
"Chris McClain! How's it going? Are you sure you got the right place here? Where's the hot tub?" D.J. asked, swiveling his head around to realize that his surroundings weren't quite what he had expected.
"Yo, dawg," Chris started, as you had to stop yourself from downright breaking down in laughter. "This is it, Camp Wawakawna!" You expected this from the promo that we had recorded a few days prior to the arrival of the campers. You guess the idea of twenty two young adults fighting it out at a worn down summer camp wasn't enough to lure in the applicants. You knew that the ruse of a five star luxury resort would be a rude awakening for some, and couldn't wait for someone to flip their shit over their unexpected surroundings. D.J. picked up his bags and grumbled,
"Looks a lot different then the application." He grumbled as he came over to join you and Beth, dropping his bags with a thud before smiling. "Hey guys! I'm D.J., can't wait to get to know everyone!" Before you even had the chance to open your mouth, Beth was already rushing at the larger man.
"I'm Beth! It's so wonderful to meet you!" She squealed as he quickly engulfed her into his arms. "You give great hugs!" You gave a small wave.
"I'm [Y/N], pleasure." You said, not moving for fear of being wrapped up in a bear hug.
