Chapter 10: Figuring Things Out

A couple of days have passed since your reunion with the boys. During those days, your interactions with them have grown more and more affectionate with each shift. But it was not like you minded, in fact you reveled in it. You loved how they would care for you and treat you as something special. Soon enough, you realized that you had fallen for the attendants. But, how could you not? From Moon's mischievous nature with a side of shy sweetness, to Sun's adorably optimistic puppy-like behavior.

They made you swoon like none other.

But, the question that was bugging you the most was, did they like you back? These interactions could be romantic, but they could also be just as platonic. So now here you were, sitting at the Arts n' Crafts section with Sun all the while you contemplated their feelings for you. Sun sat across from you, drawing to his 'heart's' content. You looked at your picture. It was of a sunset with 3 flowers, the flowers on the side towered over the middle one. One was a sunflower, the other a moonflower, and finally your favorite flower. You then turned to look at Sun, who was still drawing his masterpiece. You lean over to look at it, but Sun quickly puts up his arm around the drawing as a makeshift barrier.

"Nuh uh, Sunshine! You can't see it yet, It's a surprise!" His tone was giddy to which you giggled. His cheeks flushed a dark orange at the sound of your laughter.

"Aww, but Sunny-Bunny I wanted to see your artwork." You playfully pouted.

Sun giggled and gently pushed your face away. He returned his focus back onto his art, his systems whirring in satisfaction. This was nice, peaceful. After a bit, Sun finally finished his drawing and presented it to you in all its glory.

"Look Darling! Do you like it? Do ya?" The bright animatronic pushed the piece of paper into your face. It was a beautiful portrait of you and Sun dancing in a fairytale-like garden. Pulling back your face, you gently plucked the piece of artistry from his hands. Looking up at Sun, you could see he was fiddling with his ribbons and looking off to the side with an embarrassed look upon his face, clearly waiting anxiously for your answer. You smiled, a calm expression painting your face. He was so cute.

"Oh Sunny-Bunny, I don't like it, I love it." Sun immediately caught your gaze, his expression becoming full of blush and glee.

You continued on, "It's such a beautiful piece of art. I think you did a great job, Sugar!" Now that got him. Immediately, Sun's face erupted in an orange blush, you could hear a low whirring in the background.

That was a new one, you had never called him Sugar before. Sun nervously laughed from embarrassment, desperately wringing his hands together in hopes of calming himself down.

"Ahem, well, uh, haha, w-why don't you show me your drawing, S-Sunflower?" Gosh, he was heating up bad.

A look of realization dawned upon your face. "Oh right, of course." You grabbed your paper from your side of the table and handed it to him. "Here ya go, Sunny."

He nervously gripped your drawing towards him. Wow, your drawing was magnificent. It was just so pretty. He stared at your drawing, then slowly lifted his eyes back towards you.

"Oh Darling, it looks amazing! You're such a good artist!" Your face slightly warmed at Sun's insistent praise.

Sadly, the moment was ruined at the chime from your Fazwatch. Apparently, your shift had just ended. You looked back into Sun's blue irises. His face held a look of sadness and disappointment, he already knew what that chime met. But, he didn't want you to leave...

"Sorry Sunny, but I have to go." He let out a whine, gripping your drawing more intensely. Why did you always have to leave them alone?

He wanted to pull you away from the door, but he knew he couldn't just keep you here. You had a life without them, that didn't stop him from wanting you to stay. You rested a hand on his arm, trying to provide some form of comfort to the attention starved bot.

"Hey, I'll be back soon, okay? I'll even come in early, how about that?" You smiled as Sun perked up with a hopeful expression.

"Really? You will?" His eyes had turned into little stars at your prospect.

As soon as you nodded, you were lifted into the air and twirled around in a tight hug. The both of you giggled as the twirl slowly came to an end, your faces ending up awfully close. You gazed into each other's eyes as your lips came closer and closer, leaving you both inches apart from one another. One push is all it would take for your lips to touch. Sun's eyes were hooded, staring longingly into yours. Little hearts replaced his stars. His hands had slightly tightened their grip on your hips, keeping your body's close. His hands would twitch ever so often. His face had flushed with a dark orange, he looked so cute. You could feel your heart pounding against your chest. Your face was definitely covered in a red hue. Oh how you wanted to just smash your lips into his-

However, nice things never last.

Beep!

Your Fazwatch chimed again, signaling it was time to leave. Sun had immediately dropped you as he snapped back to reality. His eyes went back to normal. What was he doing?! He was so stunned that he didn't even register your hurried goodbye. Leaving him all alone with his thoughts. Why had he held you like that?! Sun started to pull at his rays. What was he going to do?! A dark chuckle bounced around Sun's head.

Well well well, that was certainly... Something.

Moon, what did you do?!

I didn't do anything, that was all you!

Then, what did this mean? Why did he feel so lightheaded? Anxious? Whatever this feeling was, it felt warm, but scary at the same time. He wanted to keep you close, but run away at the same time. I'm sorry this chapter is so short, I couldn't think of how to go about it. Anyways, I've been thinking about making another Sun and Moon x Reader, but it takes place after the fire. Basically, Moon finds your house and stays the night. Would you guys like to read that?
