"Emma, have you gotten everything?! Don't leave anything behind like the last time",
Said my dad as I searched through my bag incase I missed anything out.
Mirror, comb, foundation, lip gloss, pads, resume, some other shit.
"I've got everything dad, don't worry", I yelled backThings have been tough since what happen at the library, taking care of dad, finding a job.
It's hard.
And guess what, dad is already talking about grandchildren.Thinking about it all, makes things really difficult. It's just me and him, so I guess asking for a grandchild would make him happy. But then again, when would I have the time to fall in love and get married.
Mom, gone. Brother, useless. Sister in law, even more useless.
I have no one else. But anyways, moving on to the fact that I'm going for a job interview today, I applied to be a personal assistant at Brea's brother's company.
As far as I'm concerned, any job is okay for now. As long as it pays the sufficient amount. I'm happy.
"Bye dad, I'm going now", I told him that and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
As I walk out of my home and make my way to the taxi stand.
I realize that in moments like this, the only thing that will keep you going is the will power that remains in you after all those conflicts. So right now, whatever it is, I'm going to make an effort to bring up my 'family'.
And maybe by the end of my days, I'll get married.•••
