It was a rainy night, and I had just finished unpacking the boxes that were from me and my mom's old living room.

I sat down on the floor, thinking about my last week. I had just moved from the middle of nowhere in Madrid, to Cocora Valley,Columbia. I don't miss one bit of my old life, though.

-

I needed to get my mind off of things that happened in the past.

I walked over to my mom, who was finishing up unpacking her last box in the kitchen.

"Mami, can I take a walk around the new neighborhood?"

"Hmm, sure, sweetie. Just don't get hurt or anything."

I nodded, and began to walk out of the kitchen, back through the living room and towards the door.

Right as I opened the door, I saw a boy on the other side. He was just about to knock.

I took a step back, and stepped on a white foam block that  must have fallen out on of the boxes earlier. I slipped and began falling. Trying Grab onto anything, anything that would stop the fall, I grabbed the boy by his hoodie, hoping he was standing sturdy enough to be able to hold me like this. He wasn't.

"Woah!" He exclaimed, falling right with me.
A "bang!" Was heard as I landed in the wooden floor, eyes shut, still grasping onto the boy and his yellow hoodie.

Once I gained the courage to opened my eyes, I saw the boy laying on top of me. He was not getting up, and in a plank pose, studying my face and features, and even smirking a little.

I quickly pushed him off and tried to get up myself, but failed.

My back was totally done for. "oww!" I blurt out.

"Wow, you okay?" The boy asked in a worried tone.
He had dark, curly hair, that looked a little messed up. He was wearing a yellow hoodie that read "Madrigal" on it. I swear I heard of that somewhere.

I was so busy looking at his face I totally forgot to answer if I was okay or not.

"Uhh, hermosa? You there?" He waved his hand.

I decided to just ignore what he just called me, and go on. I was still laying on the floor, but just acted casual like I was standing up like a normal person.

"So.. why were you at the door? I asked.

"Oh, right. I was supposed to welcome you to our very humble town. So uh.. welcome." He said, and awkwardly smiled.

"By the way, my name is Camilo. I'm a madrigal, and I live in the big house right next to yours."

"Okay, I'm y/n. I'm kind of clumsy, as you can tell."

That's where I heard of that name! He's one of those people from the magic family my mom told me about! I thought in my mind.

"That's fine. Oh, I should probably help you up" he realized, and began trying to pick me up, and ended  up carrying me bridal style to my mom in the kitchen.

"Hello, ma'am. Uh, y/n slipped and fell at the door on a foam block, and landed really hard on her back."

"Oh, y/n! You didn't even make it out the door and already something happened? I told you to be careful." She scolded me.

"Wha- I was careful! I was facing the other way because Camilo was at the door, I didn't see it!"
It really wasn't my fault.

"Camilo??" She looked up Camilo, who was still holding me. "Is he this handsome young man who is carrying you?" She asked. "Mom! ..yes."

"Oh, so you agree I'm handsome?" Camilo asked, a devious smile spreading across he face.

"Not the right time, Camilo." I said, almost angrily.

"Okay okay, sorry." He chuckled. I never get taken seriously, do I?
