"Come on Harry." Alina cooed at the toddler who she picked up.

Today was the day.

The day the world would move past the death of James and Lily Potter.

However she was not the world.

They say that it's better to move on after people closest to you die.

Whilst her brother and sister-in-law death could not have been seen as a battle, it was to her having to fight to live and to save the precious toddler she was now carrying.

Disappearing with a pop she saw people she recongised.

Remus Lupin, Pandora Lovegood, Alice and Frank Longbottom, Marlene McKinnon.

Remus had shaggy sandy brown hair that was left in slight waves with scars over his face from being a werewolf. His posture had become worse his back bent over in an unpleasant way. His clothes looked old and tattered.

Pandora had a sad look on her face her blonde almost white hair pulled neatly into a bun with only a few stray strands out. Her high cheekbones sticking out amongst her features. Dressed in a black dress with a lace hem.

Alice and Frank hold each other in an embrace. Alice's brown hair down in waves flushed cheeks, probably from crying. Biting her lip to keep in the muffled cries. Alice too was wearing a black dress.

Maybe She was the only one there with colour, actually she could see Remus wearing a pin that read 'marauders.'

Whilst Alina was also wearing a black dress she also had a red and gold ribbon to tie her hair up with.

"JAMES! Please I want to know." A nine year old Alina complained as James took away her birthday present.

"NOT YET!" James stood up on the table holding the present up towards the ceiling.

"Pleaseeee." Alina pouted at her twin.

"Fine." James relented and handed Alina her birthday present.

Alina turned to give a high five to someone who wasn't there a ghost. Frowning in confusion as to why she had that involuntary action she grabbed the gift from James forgetting about it and began unwrapping the gift.

"Ah huh!" She exclaimed as she smiled brightly tugging at a red and gold ribbon.

"Thank you!" She pulled her brother in a hug.

"Of course Lena besides you were complaining about how other girls had a ribbon in their hair and you didn't I got you red and gold because it's obvious that your- we are going to be in gryffindor." James explained to his twin.

"And if I'm not?" Lena questioned.

"Then we'll get mum to change the colour of it.' James said without hesitation.

Although the gold and red ribbon wasn't as good looking as it was back then it was more so for sentimental value now. After getting in ravenclaw though she decided not to change the colours on it having grown too attached to the thread.

And also because James said he'll hex her if she didn't wear it to every quidditch match with the red and gold ribbon.

"Hey Lena." Alina tried to withhold a wince at the nickname before facing her friend, best friend.

"Hey Dora." Bring the blonde into a hug.

"How are you holding up?" Her brows furrowed and her lips pulled slightly downwards at the state her friend was in.

"As well as I can do." She sighed, before looking down at Harry.

"This is Harry." Alina showed Pandora Harry making Pandora gesture to holding him. Which Alina gently handed a baby Harry to her.

Alina made her way over to Remus the latter pulling her into a hug as soon as she was in his eyesight.

"Quite the mess we've got in." Remus tried a poor attempt at a joke however Alina only moved further into his embrace.

"Isn't it just." Alina sighed before pulling out of his embrace.

"I have to do the speech."

"Are you sure?" Remus asked.

"Yes." No. She wasn't okay why would she be she's saying goodbye to her brother and sister far to early. They were supposed to grow old, however it's seems as if only one of them will.

"We are gathered here today to say goodbye to fighters." Alina drew in a sharp breath as she made eye contact with a baby Harry. "Two parents who fought to protect their own. In a flight or fight response they choose fight. Spoken like true gryffindors." Her last sentence brought a few laughs under people's breath. "Laughter, that's what we need right now. I know James would want people to look back on him and laugh over his marauder ways. And Lily would want people to smile back on her memory."

Breathing in deeply she made eye contact with Remus, "Gone but never forgotten."

"Gone but never forgotten." The attendees muttered.
