"Why did we agree to this?" Natsuki grumpily asked. She was one of the members of the Literature Club. A little brutish, but baked some amazing cupcakes.

Multiple students all sat in a circle on the floor. The windows revealed a still very bright day, as school had only recently ended.

"Oh, don't be a grump!" Sayori grinned, the always cheerful member of the club. "This will be fun! I've never played a game of mafia!"

"Uh, actually, it's called werewolf." A nerdy-looking boy with glasses stated, pushing them up as a mysterious shine flashed against them.

The boy next to him elbowed him. "It's either. And it doesn't matter. All that matters is that we have fun."

"This is ridiculous." Natsuki sighed.

"There's nothing wrong with having some fun once in a while, right?" Monika, the ringleader of the Literature Club, smiled.

"I suppose it is fine to try something new every once in a while." Yuri, the biggest bookworm of the Literature Club stated. "I must say, the idea of mafia intrigued me."

"Of course it does." Natsuki groaned.

"Hey, it'll be fine." MC smiled at her. He was the fifth and final member, the newest member of the Literature Club, and the club's only man. With the Literature Club being invite-only, no other man had joined until Sayori invited her childhood friend. "I can walk you home if you really don't want to."

"No, it's fine." Natsuki looked away.

Monika clapped her hands. "We should get this started before it becomes too late. After all, we don't know how long this will take."

The other students immediately nodded in agreement. Monika was incredibly popular in school. She was a natural-born leader, incredibly charismatic, beautiful, excelled at the piano, and made interesting poems.

"Right! Let's start, everybody." The person who set all of this up nodded. "Today, we have Literature Club, Occult Club, and the Board Games Club for a total of sixteen people. Everybody knows the rules, yes?"

All of the students nodded. The leader quickly chose two werewolves (or mafia members), a doctor, and a detective, without the others knowing who was who. As soon as he was finished, the game was set up.

They played a game, where one Occult member and a Board Games member were barely outed as the werewolves. They then decided to play a second game, everybody now into the fun.

"It's been a long day." The leader narrated. "The villagers are tired, and head to their homes, unaware of the threat that will strike them that night. Go to sl-"

"Hey, have we really been here that long?" Someone asked, looking out the window.

It was dark out.

"That can't be right..." Another student muttered. "My clock says it's...wait, my phone is dead."

"So is mine." MC stated, trying to see if it was just turned off. It refused to come on.

"No, it shouldn't take this long to play one game." The leader stated. "This is weird."

The intercom suddenly turned on, spewing a small, annoying static noise. The students turned towards the intercom, warily looking with worried faces.

And then a deep voice came from it. "Lights out."
