The flight, gross. The food, disgusting. The conversation he had with his parents before leaving, the worst.Sunghoon was making a mental list of things that he was going to rant about to his best friend once he had landed and safely arrived at his 'exchange' partners' place. He'd been flying for the past couple of hours, flying from South Korea to the USA, and the boy felt exhausted. The time difference was massive, so not only does his body have to prepare to perform but also catch up on missed sleep and jetlag.
While flying, he watched a couple of movies, making him laugh a little too loudly and let out one or two tears; he also listened to a few songs that he could possibly use for a future skating routine. However, he was struggling on picking the perfect song, none really spoke out to him so he decided to call it a day and try to get some extra sleep by sleeping for the majority of the flight.
I wish I was able to bring Jay with me, it would have made this whole experience much more tolerable.
The black-haired boy was to stay at a stranger's house for the next week, he didn't know much about this person other than the fact he was his age and that he was a college student.
Sunghoon didn't want to do this whole exchange student thing to begin with, it would have been much easier to just stay at a hotel, alone. But his parents had other plans, these plans being the highlight of the discussion the boy had with them before departing for his flight.
It seriously doesn't make sense for him to be staying with a complete stranger instead of being alone was what he was trying to get across to his parents but as always, his opinion would go straight over their heads and he would have to do whatever his parents wanted.

Once the plane had landed and the unbuckle sign lit up, Sunghoon sluggishly gathered his things together and walked off the plane making his way down to arrivals.
If Hoon wasn't completely exhausted and his brain wasn't half asleep, he would have probably passed out from nerves by now, his hands completely drenched in sweat and his legs feeling like jelly. The boy was a major introvert and struggled talking to anyone other than his closest friend, so living with a stranger was going to be... interesting to say the least.
With his black duffle bag lazily slung over his shoulder, dragging the boy down, Sunghoon had made it to arrivals and there stood a brunette boy with fair skin holding his phone up that had "Park Sunghoon" displayed on it in red LEDs swiping across the screen as a clear indicator that this was the boy, he heard so little about.
The two had made eye contact and Sunghoon's heart started racing. Reality had slapped him across the face, he was really about to do this.
Fuck, why did I maintain eye contact with him. Surely, it's not too late for me to just walk past him and book a room at a hotel, wait... why is he approaching me?
"You must be Sunghoon! It's nice to meet you, I'm Jake. Jake Sim." The brunette smiled and held out his hand for the other to shake.
His smile could light up a room and his hair was loosely hanging down, framing his face flawlessly. It was if he was perfectly made, each feature on his face going so well together like a carefully crafted statue. And his voice was smooth and silky, his faint Australian accent seeping through every couple of words, it was calming to listen to.
What if I say that isn't my name... No, he probably knows who I am already which is why he approached me, or was it just off a whim? What am I thinking, just introduce yourself.
"It's nice to meet you too, Jake. I'm Sunghoon"
He already knows that stupid.
Sunghoon awkwardly let out a small chuckle, the nerves had already started getting to him. Seeing the other in person really woke him up, he really didn't know who to expect, there wasn't much to go off of from what his parents told him but 'Jake' seemed... nice. Maybe.
