About a week has passed since the Provisional License Exam, and we already have another task to worry about. Hero work studies. The school has decided to allow first-years to participate in them as long as the agency has a proven track record. Honestly, since they're not required, I'm not going to try and find an agency to work with. Besides, being bossed around by an annoying pro-hero sounds awful. I'd rather spend my free time relaxing.
"You found an agency for your work study? Congratulations, Deku!" I overhear Uraraka say to Midoriya while I rummage around the kitchen for snacks.
Not surprising that he found an agency this early. He's always been the one on top of things, and with his desire to be a hero I'd expect nothing less.
"I dunno how the rest of us are supposed to compete, though," Denki chimes in as he and some of the other boys join their conversation.
"Yeah, you'll be working at Sir Nighteye's agency. That's seriously amazing," Sero praises.
Grabbing a box of Cheez-Its, I sit at one of the tables and listen to everyone worry about how hard it will be to find a suitable agency. Most of the agencies that everyone worked with during their internships were ruled out due to UA's requirement.
As everyone complains Ojiro points out, "we can't really blame them. Unlike the internships, we'll be directly involved, so if anything were to go wrong, then-"
"Then the pros have to take responsibility for whatever happened," Mr. Aizawa interrupts as he walks into the common room, "only pros who're the real deal will take on rookies like you guys, knowing the risks involved. Tokoyami, looks like you've got an offer from one of them. Hawks has invited you to work with him in Kyushu."
"No way!" exclaims Denki.
"Dude, he's the Number Three Hero!" Sero says.
Mr. Aizawa looks around and spots me, "oh, Emi, you've got an offer from him as well. However, he's specifically requested an interview with you beforehand. Well, what do you two say?"
Why has the number three hero requested an interview from me? Tokoyami and the rest of these guys have had their debut so of course heroes know who they are, but me? I've yet to have that so how does Hawks know who I am?
"I respectfully accept," Tokoyami nods.
"When's the interview?" I ask.
"Tomorrow at noon. Think you're up for it?"
I take a moment to think, "of course."

Walking up to the large building in Kyushu, I crane my neck to take in the entire view. A loud sigh escapes me as I entire the Hawks Agency's headquarters.
Hawks POV
I flip through a folder filled with all the information I could find on the student named Emi Sierra. There's only one reason I invited her to join my agency; her involvement with the underground. I heard about her bounty as soon as it was posted and to my surprise found out she was a UA student. Bounties are common but for one to be a kid? Not so much. Only a few people know I'm connected to the underground so I didn't inform anyone else about my findings.
Her parents were killed when she was two years old, officially by a mysterious house fire, but, with a little digging, it wasn't hard to find out they were murdered by The Hunters. She then was taken in by her godfather, Xander Rei, who was formerly the pro-hero Dead Night. However, he had an early retirement at the age of 25 due to a feeling of guilt from the Musutafu bombings. The two of them live seemingly quiet, normal lives. But then comes the question; why would there be a bounty on such a normal girl?
