Chapter 22: Decorating!

"Hi, I'm Dylan. I have just moved in next door and I was wondering if I could borrow your phone. My cell phone is dead and we have not had any electricity yet. Do you think I could borrow yours?" He asked.

"Sure come in. I'm Zoe by the way. I didn't know we had people moving in next door." I said closing the door behind him and leading him to the phone.

"Yeah, we are just moving in today and we have no electricity or plumbing." He said. I passed him the phone and he made his call.

"I will just be over here" I whispered pointing over to to the sofa. He nodded. I waited about 10minutes until he was finished.

"Thanks for letting me use your phone." He said.

"Its fine. Are you needing any help unpacking or anything?" I asked as we walked over to the door.

"If you would like to. Unless you have something else you need to do?"

"No. Everybody has left me here on my own so I have nothing to do."

"Okay. Thanks we are a little behind schedule" We walked out of the house and next door to his.

"So are you here with your family?" I asked.

"Just me and my fiancé. We have our own photography business and we are going to be converting part of the house into the studio. It has so many rooms which help us for different scenes. If you know what I mean?"

"Yeah I think I get it." I said walking into the house.

"So who do you stay with?" He asked.

"Well my brother and my fiance are in a band so I stay with them and their girlfriends."

"Thats nice. What band?" He asked as we walked upstairs to where I'm guessing his fiance is.

"Black Veil Brides"

"Oh, I hahve heard of them. My neice likes them. I like Fallen Angels and Rebel Yell."

"Cool, Fallen Angels is my favourite." We walked into a room which had an autumn theme to it. There was a treein the corner witht he leaves flying off it in the wind painted onto the wall and there was leaves painted onto the wall everywhere. There was a man in the corner. He looked like he was almost finished his work in this room.

"Ryan this is our neighbour Zoe. SHe has come to help us." Dylan said.The other man turned around. He had paint all over his face and looked a little annoyed.

"Hi" I said, giving a little awkward wave.

"Hi" He said putting down his brush.

"Did you paint all of this?" I asked.

"Yeah. I have been working on it ever since we arived." He said letting ot a sigh. " I dont suppose you are any good at art?" he asked.

"Well I did go to art school when i was younger and then went to university and took an art cource for 3 years." I said.

"I was joking, but if you like you could help me with painting these rooms?" He said.

"Sure. I love painting I will just need to go change." I said.

"Okay" He said turning around and finishing off what he was doing.

"I will be back in 5 minutes." I said running out of the house and back home. I ran upstairs and put an old pair of shorts and an old black shirt. I put up my hair in a ponytail and ran back to next door. I ran upstairs and back into the autumn room.

"That was quick" Ryan said. I just laughed. "That is me finished this room. I am away to start in teh spring room if you would like to help or you can start in the winter room if you would like?"

"I could start on the winter room if you would like?"

"That would be great. Could you try not to make it to realistic. I was hoping it would be a little cartoon like" He said. I nodded and he showed me to the soom to be winter room. I got straight to work. I started to sing all of the random songs that came to my head.

*5 hours later (7pm)*

I am nearly finished I only havee one more wall to do. I took a couple steps back from the walls and looked. I admit I am pretty proud of myself.

"How are you getti-" Ryan said stopping in mid sentence. He looked shocked.

"Is it good?" I asked.

"Good? Good? It is AMAZING!" He said. "We were away to order a chineese if you would like to join us." He said as we walked downstairs.

"Sure. Thanks" I said. "Wait. I didnt think you had electricity or plumbing?" I said.

"Shit. We dont." Dylan said.

"If you would like you can use our phone again. You can also stay the night across there because it is going to be cold and you may need a shower" I said pointing to Ryans face.

"Are you sure?" Dylan said.

"Yes Im sure." I said as they locked up the house and walked next door to mine.

"What about the others that stay here? Wont they mind?." Ryan said.

"Its fine. The guys are away playing at Warped Tour, Sammi Jinxx's girlfriend is on tour with her band and Ella is in a photo shoot in Italy." I said opening the door.

"Okay."

"If you would liike you can have a shower or something and i will order a chineese or something." I said. They nodded. "Oh I shall show you to the bathrooms." I said walking upstairs. " There is one at the end of the hall there and there is one in Jake's bedroom." I said pointing there.

"Do you think we could borrow some clothesbecause we have not unpacked ours yet adn there are so many boxes" Ryan asked.

"Sure." I walked into CC's room with them behind me and opened the wardrobe. I took out a Kiss shirt for Ryan and a pair of Basketball shorts and for Dylan I got a I <3 Pugs shirt and another pair of Basketball shorts.

"Thanks" They both said.

"Would you like me to get anything in particular from the chineese?" I asked.

"Just get the triple mix platter or something" Dyan said walking into the bathroom.

"Okay" I said. I walked downstairs and into the kitchen and picked up the phone. I ordered the triple mix platter and I sat on the sofa until they came back down. We watched Wife Swap for 10 minutes until the chieese delivery go here. I payed the delivery man and we all sat infron of the TV eating our chineese and watching Grown Ups.

I woke up the next morning with Dylan, Ryan and me lying on the floor. We all must have fallen asleep. I walked into the kitchen and got a glass of water. I turned around to go back to the liveing room to see Dylan standing in the door way.

"Morning" I said

"Morning"

"Would you like any breakfast?" I asked looking to see what there was in the fridge.

"Im fine. Ryan wont eat either. We dont usually eat in the morning."

"Okay. Would you like any more help today with the house."

"Sure if you dont mind." He said sitting down.

We spent the rest of the day perfecting the house. When we were done it looked amazing! The plumbers and the electricians had connected everything up so now it would be what you could call a dream home! It was amazing!
