A Meeting with The Moon.

Ironically enough, this just had to happen whenever Vanessa had taken the day off. Recently, it had become apparent that in the daycare you knew just how to handle both animatronics that liked to come out depending on how bright or dark it was, and as a result, your co-worker had reported this to Vanessa. Why? Well, because that security guard could handle every area of the mall sized pizzeria except for one little section. In particular, the daycare.

Something about that area and the two different animatronics in it had just creeped her out, she couldn't stay in that place too long unless she absolutely had to. It was a fair enough response, so you couldn't blame her. Many of the children who visited the Fazbear entertainments were afraid of at least one or two of the animatronics, and unluckily enough, in this facility it appeared to be the Sunny daycare attendant, and the Map-bots that roamed the facility.

Well, you didn't care so much about seeing children wail at the sight of the robots who's only programming was to hand out maps and make sure people weren't lost. But you did feel a strike of pity for the daycare attendant who only wanted to take care of kids and become friends with them. Hell, they hadn't even caused any lawsuits like some of the other animatronics in this place! It was just their design, to adults it looked interesting and cool, but to children, they didn't look all that friendly. White eyes with no irises or pupils mixed with an eerily realistic smile didn't go that well with kids most of the time, and frankly you weren't sure how the developers didn't note that when making this bot.

But at this point in time, you weren't quite sure if that pity for the robot had turned out well or not. Sure, working overnight had its perks. You got paid better for being night security, you didn't have to clean up quite as much of a mess at the end of the day because by the time you clocked in, Sun or Moon had already taken care of it. Speaking of the attendant's alter, almost brother-like animatronic, you didn't know them all that well. You could say that they were definitely quieter than the bright yellow one, but they were also more distant. More on edge. You often found them watching you, almost like how a predator would watch it's prey scurrying through the grass late in the night, when there was no sun to deter the predator's vision, and there were nothing but stars to guide the poor prey somewhere safe.

But, regardless of that, tonight you had a mission. You had spoken to Sundrop for just a few minutes before the lights fully went out for the night, a way to save money Fazbear-co had said. God this company seemed to be barely holding onto their facility that was as big as a shopping mall. However, you didn't have time to mope around and think about how crappy some of the working conditions were, as said, you had a job.

Earlier in your shift, Sun had asked you to talk to his brother for a change instead of just ignoring him while he watched you. He knew that they may not seem the most friendly, or act like it, but he had assured you that Moon was nothing to be afraid of. As a matter of fact, Sun had giddily explained to you that the darker animatronic was watching you because he was trying to figure out how to speak to you. For his brother, it had seemed so easy. Sun walked up to anyone he wanted and struck up something to talk about after enough prodding and rambling about what he liked; but for Moon.. things weren't that way. He was designed to be quieter than Sun, to be more analytical of situations and be more careful around the children-- and sadly enough, that had creeped into the way Moon spoke as well.

Moon couldn't understand how to start a conversation with someone if he didn't have Sunny's advice, or if he wasn't trying to scare them out of the daycare for being there when they weren't supposed to be. So, he tried to do what he knew. Moon was aware that sometimes you could pick up information about someone's interests by observing them. But, that didn't really work in a setting where all you were supposed to do was assist in cleaning and then patrol the area to make sure that everything was in proper working order, and that no one had stolen or broken anything that you or the animatronic couldn't fix by yourself.

With these things being your only job until you left to go home, Moon couldn't really learn all that much about you, which only made their frustration grow. He wanted to talk to you, he had seen how you made Sun seem just a little brighter and a bit flustered before he went off to power down for the night, and he wanted that too. It wasn't fair, you were supposed to give both of them equal attention and maintenance as needed but he couldn't get it because he didn't know how to approach you.

Sun had expertly explained all of this to you, and you were beginning to wonder how much of it he had picked up on from his brother's behaviour, and how much of it Moon had actually told him just by wanting to complain to someone. Well, either way, at least now you wouldn't have to deal with eyes crawling up your back each time you weren't staring right back at Moon in the daycare. But before that, you needed to make a plan.

How were you going to approach Moon?

Moon was a skittish animatronic whenever they weren't already in control or angry, so getting them to actually come down so you could talk to them could be a challenge.. But that's when it hit you. The perfect plan to make sure that Moon both came down from the play structures, and got close enough to guarantee you could grab onto them to make sure they didn't try to skitter away.

The next afternoon when you walked into work, you could already see a clear difference in the daycare's presentation.

First off, it was dark, and usually whenever you walked into work, the lights were on so Sun could greet you and spend some time with you before it was his turn to go up for the night; and secondly, at the bottom of the slide you could see that there had been a few pillows piled up, as if to squish your fall if you were to go down the colorful tube rather than use the front doors.

You were fairly sure that that had been the work of Sun, after all, you weren't even sure if his brother had any idea that you were planning a visit tonight. "Well, now or never." You hummed, reminding yourself of the previous plan before shifting yourself into the slide and going down with a long but singular swish. Once you had reached the bottom, you crashed into the soft pillow pile rather than the usual plastic balls that always somehow managed to stay in the play-pit. But oddly enough, the pillows had softened not just your arrival, but the sound of it as well. Almost as if Sun was trying to surprise Moon by making it less obvious that you had clocked in.

As you waded through the ballpit to reach dry land, you began to look for tonight's objective. But oddly enough, you couldn't find the darker animatronic anywhere you looked; which was odd since their glowing eyes had a way of just giving away where they were no matter how well they hid.

But once you began to consider calling out, a singular mechanical click got your attention.

The Moon was right above you.
