Astrid walked into school with Malia. 'That was pretty stupid of you to go out by yourself last night.' Malia said.

She nodded. 'Yeah.' She paused. 'Did I thank you for saving me last night?'

    'I don't think so.'

Astrid laughed. 'Well, thank you. All though, that does beg the question, why did you come out and save me?'

'I'm still tryna figure that out myself.' Astrid smiled. She walked over to her locker. Astrid still hadn't told Malia that they were half sisters. And she didn't know if she should. She wanted really badly to get to know her as her sister since they both spent sixteen years not knowing each other existed.

The two began walking. 'Hey, do you mind helping me study today for the math test? I was studying last night then... well, you know.'

'Right. Yeah, of course. Next period?'

'Yeah. Sounds good.' Malia smiled and drifted off into a different direction for her class. Astrid walked into her classroom. Econ. With Coach Finstock. Astrid sat in front of Stiles who sat beside Soctt.

The class went completely quiet when Coach walked in and slammed a large textbook on the desk. 'All right, listen up!' He spoke in a rough tone. 'The stock market is based on two principles. What are they?' Scott raised his hand. 'Yes, Mccall, you can go to the bathroom.'

He lowered his hand, slowly and awkwardly. 'No, Coach, I... know the answer.' Coach laughed. Astrid looked around, wide eyed.

    'Oh, you're serious.'

    'Yes, it's risk and reward.'

'Wow!' He said, shocked. He began walking toward him. 'Who are you? And what have you done to Mccall?' He placed his hands on his desk. 'No. Don't answer that. I like you better.' Scott smiled. 'I like you better.' He pointed and whispered. He straightened up and slowly began backing away. 'Does anybody have a quarter?'

'Yep.' Stiles said, reaching into his pocket. As he pulled out a quarter, something else flicked out of his pocket as well. Everyone glared as it flipped through the air and the ground beside Astrid's chair. It was an XXL condom. Astrid's eyes widened.

Coach stared. He bent down and picked it up. Stiles looked completely embarrassed. Coach put the condom on his desk. 'Stiles, I think you, uh, think you dropped this.' He took the quarter from his hand. 'Congratulations.' He walked away. Astrid turned around and looked at Stiles.

Coach continued teaching. 'Risk and reward.' He walked back over to his desk. 'Put the quarter in the mug,' he picked up the mug from his desk, 'win the reward.' He put the mug down. 'Okay, watch Coach.' He walked backward a few metres and readied himself. Then he bounced the coin on the ground and it flew into the mug. The class applauded.

'That's how you do it! Okay, Danny.' He threw the quarter at Danny. Risk, reward.'

    'What's the reward?' He asked.

'You don't have to take the pop quiz tomorrow.'

'Coach, it's not a pop quiz if you tell us about it.'

'Danny, you know, I really expect more from you at this point. Really.' He said as he took the quarter back from his hand. He walked down the aisle and stopped at Astrid. 'Claire, what say you? Risk. Reward.' He put the quarter down at the edge of her desk. 'The risk: if you don't put that quarter in the mug, you have to take the pop- the- the quiz. And- and you have to write an essay. Risk; more work. Reward,' he blows in his hand, 'no work at all. Or choose not to play.'
