"I don't know, Mike still hasn't asked to be exclusive." Laur stated.
"That's why I'm a better fit for you." Luke said with a smirk plastered across his face.
"Shut up." She replied, a blush creeping on her face and chucking a pillow at his head. Luke was about to speak before being interrupted by Michael walking in.
"Luke, get out please." Mike spoke softly. Luke looks over at Laur mocking her by making kissing faces and she just rolls her eyes."Bye babe, love you." He says winking at her as he stands up and walks to the door.
"Bye, love you too." She says smiling at him. Michael rolls his eyes at the pair, letting out a soft chuckle.
"Why is it that every time I want to spend time alone with you, there's some other guy around?" Michael questions, laying down on the bed.
"Probably because you always ditch me for Shay." She replied, turning face to face with him.
Michael lifts one of his brows, "Do you think I spend too much time with her?" He questions, genuinely trying to understand if Laur is upset with him.
"We're not together so why would I be upset?" She answered.
"What do you mean? We've been together for weeks." He responded, sounding confused.
"Mike, you've never asked me to be your girlfriend." She said not wanting to make eye contact with him.
"I was supposed to ask? Wait, you're not seeing someone else, right?" He responds, some panic seeping into his voice.
"I'm not seeing anyone else, relax." She says to him. "But honestly, What did you think happened between Shay and Cal? He asked."
"Yeah, but they were all confusing and didn't make their feelings clear." Michael replied, still trying to wrap his head around the situation.
"We're confusing, Mike. Or at least you are, to me." She responded.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be like that." He said, sounding sad.
"You do realize that you still haven't asked me to be your girlfriend, right?" She stated, letting out a laugh.
"It feels anti-climactic to ask now." He frowns, "I want it to at least be special."
"Mikey, you're cute but it doesn't need to be special. You're not proposing." She replied.
"Fine, will you be my girlfriend?" He asks.
"No." She replies.
"Wait what?" He answers, sounding hurt.
"I'm kidding, of course I will." She giggles. The frown on Michael's face disappears and is quickly replaced by a bright smile. He pulled her close and kissed her.
"You know you're stuck with me now, right?" He whispers, when they finally pull away from each other. Laur laughs quietly.
"Wouldn't want it any other way." She replies, smiling at him and snuggling closer to him.
"Hi Laur" Cal said with a smile as he plopped down on the bed.
"Cal" She squealed, tackling him into a hug.
"What's got you in a good mood tonight?" He asked, looking down at the girl whose arms were wrapped around his neck.
"Michael asked me to be his girlfriend." She said with a bright smile.
"Finally, it only took him 100 years." Cal said with a shocked look on his face. He then noticed her smile quickly fade. "No no no, why the sad face? Isn't this supposed to be good news?"
"I'm happy, I really am. There's just a lot to unpack now." She answered.
"What's going on in that little head of yours?" He asked.
"Calum" She spoke and he hummed in response. "I think I might be in love with him."
"I know." He replied, playing with the ends of her hair.
"It's scary. What if I fuck things up or what if he cheats on me?" Laur asked in a panicked tone.
"Calm down, it's gonna be okay. Mike wouldn't dream of hurting you and if he does, I'll kill him." He responded.
"What if he doesn't love me?" She questioned.
"You're crazy, that man is so in love with you that he doesn't know what to do with himself. I swear that he never shuts up about you. It's cute but annoying." He answered.
"Are you sure?" She asked.
"Positive." He reassured her.
"Thank you for always being here for me, I love you." She said, giving him a soft smile.
"I love you too and I'm never going anywhere. It's me and you forever." He said, returning the smile.
"I have a song idea." Mike said walking into the at-home recording studio with a huge smile on his face.
"I'm so glad you said that, cause I've been staring at the wall for what feels like years." Shay grumbled, stretching out from her position on the floor.
"I want to write about Laur." He said whilst grabbing his guitar and strumming a melody. "No, wait I didn't say that right. I need to write this."
"Did I miss something?" Shay said, finally sitting up.
"Oh yeah, I guess. Laur and I talked." He said not elaborating any further.
"You talked? About what? And don't say the fucking weather." She replied. "Nah, we were gossiping about you and Cal." He casually replied, obviously trying to rile her up.
"Mike, stop fucking with me. What did you do?" She replied agitated.
"Oh and I may have asked her to be my girlfriend." He replied, a smile creeping up on his face. Shay got up and punched his shoulder.
"You finally grew the balls to actually ask?"
Michael frowned at her, "You're telling me you knew that I needed to ask?"
"You're telling me you didn't know you needed to ask?" She replied incredulously.
"I thought it was obvious that we were exclusive." He said, sounding exasperated. Shay burst out laughing.
"You're lucky you're pretty, cause you have nothing going on up there." She teased.
"You're telling me you think I'm pretty?" He responded, blushing slightly.
"You're downright adorable. Now sit down and show me your idea for this song cause I will not kiss your ass any longer." She said whilst sitting down on the floor again.
Michael blushed even more fiercely, "Okay so, the hook would be like that her love makes me a better person? At least that's the direction I was thinking of. And then this is the melody that Luke and I came up with." He said, before strumming the melody on his guitar.
