It's a beautiful day

Chapter 1

Dan's P.O.V

I wake up to the extremely irritating noise of my obnoxious sounding alarm clock at 06:30 and - like most of my generation, check my phone.

As usual I have a message from my best friend Astrid who gets up at 05:00 every morning.

Yo bro, you coming to the park after school with Hiccup and I ? - Astrid

If it was anyone else I would just ignore it but since it is Asty (who is basically my sister) I think I better reply

Hey Asty wouldn't miss it for the world ;) - Dan

After 15 minutes texting back and forth to Astrid I finally decide to get ready. I go to the bathroom to take a shower when in the corner of my eye i spot a glint of silver from behind the sink, My Blade. "No Dan, not today" i think to myself and throw a towel over the sink before hopping in the shower.

Prying myself from the curtain of warm water is one of the hardest thing i have to do everyday, well that and hiding my secret, I'm gay.

I have known for around a year that I haven't been interested in any of the girls in my school but i thought it was just that they aren't my type but lately i have come to terms with the fact that i am gay. I have only admitted my sexuality to Astrid meaning that everyone in my school is clueless and all the girls try and flirt with me.

Leaving the bathroom i tread down the hall to my bedroom and get changed into my black top with the white circle on the front and my black skinny jeans. I sit on my floor in front of my mirror and start straightening my brown hair before checking the time 08:30, i'm running late Astrid and her boyfriend Hayden will be here soon so we can walk to school. I grab my phone and bag and run downstairs grabbing an apple on my way out. Just as i reach the kitchen door my doorbell rings. I open the door and shout bye to my mum and dad not waiting for their reply and close it right behind me, turning to see Astrid and Hayden standing on my door step.
