You came back to your senses somewhere blue and technology-based. The area was also much cooler than Hotland. Sitting up, you noticed there was an elevator in front of you. You almost instantly swiped your bloody knife off the ground, putting the cover on it and pocketing it. There also noticed a picture and letter next to it, which you picked up both; the picture was a grey house similar to the one in the ruins, and there was an envelope with rainbow star stickers on it and bearing the words, 'For Y/N L/N'. You opened the letter and you were met with smooth and neat handwriting...
"Dear Y/N,
Do you remember everything I told you a long time ago? That something I had to tell you, and the experiment and what me and Alphys' did? That's right. The experiment went well. However, we don't have any more souls. Those stars you absorbed will no longer save you. If you die now, you will not come back. Because of that, you might have to give up your soul.As you continued reading on, you noticed the stains on the paper were actually teardrops.
-But first what I wanted to tell you the most is going to be in person. It's been driving me crazy. Just come to the capital. I've left you this picture in case you don't know. P.S. Can you please call me Asriel? Flowey is just some dumb name I used when I was stuck as a flower.
Love you,
- Asriel."
You felt tears forming in your own eyes, but you held them back. Despite everything, you're still standing. And you didn't have to go through all that walking just for his surprise. You look at the photo and using your magic, teleported exactly where he wants you to go. You stood up and absorbed the star nearby, then began approaching the building. Everything was grey and white and had almost no color. You looked at your skin and saw it was no longer (S/C), but now desaturated and lightened (or greyed) to the point you looked like a ghost. The blood on you was monochrome, even your clothing was grey and monochrome black. Here, nothing had color, it seemed.
You sighed as you walked up to the house. As you got closer and closer, you started feeling the pain from the fight back at Hotland. Your stomach started hurting and your legs began to feel weaker.
You realized the determination in your heart led to this very moment resulted in your own demise. The rainbow aura you emit, the magic efficiency you possess... you are beyond monster capabilities as if you were a God. But you aren't ready for such a title.
Just as you made it inside, your legs started to feel numb. You began crawling, holding your stomach with an open hand.
"A-Asriel...!" You called for help, grimacing from the pain.
But nobody came.
You called for help again, but nobody came.
The pain became overwhelming as you keeled over onto your back in suffrage, now starting to give up.
"Someone... p-please... I can't die here..." You called out again.
Your eyes sluggishly began to blink your last moments, the world fading into darkness. But then, you suddenly felt someone pick you up!
You couldn't tell who they are due to the monochrome atmosphere and you were too weak to check. They opened a door and laid you onto a dusty bed, then started nursing you. You tried to get a good look at them, but their face always had an unoccupied arm covered up, or looking away as if they were blushing or upset. You tried to speak to them but every time they looked away.
They fed you pie, tea, and everything that could help you. After a while, the pain was no more. Your body started showing colors again. You eventually got up and felt your magic efficiency build back up, signaling you were completely healed. You got up to open the door, but Asriel was ready there, his colors began showing up as well. He quickly hugged you, almost knocking you down.
"Y/N! You're okay!" He gleefully said. You noticed you were just a bit taller than him.
"Yeah... I just pushed myself too much. Thank you for saving me." You said.
"You're welcome... oh right, if I asked you something, you prooomise to say yes~?"
"I promise. Especially since you're the one that took care of me." You replied.
He let go of the hug and began blushing, averting his gaze from yours. "W-well..." He cleared his throat, nervously looking down. You even blushed a bit.
"Y-Y/N I... I've been hiding this ever since we were in Snowdin- I have feelings for you! It's just y-you're perfect! Your voice, the way you handle things... oh your calm and serious attitude, I just love everything about you! W-will you go out with me?!" He shouted all at once, then looked away shyly.
You're a bit taken back that he thinks of you like that, then again, you must fulfill his promise even though you mean it. "Yes. I love you."
His face reddened completely as he gasped, "W-wait... you really mean it?!"
"Of cou-" He tackle and hugged you, almost scaring the hell out of you. You embraced the hug after a while. The two of you silently stood there for a few minutes. You could hear him silently sobbing into your chest, in which you held him close. But then you let go, wiping his tears.
"Cheer up, buttercup..." You mumbled.
He backed up to give you some room, completely wiping his tears with a sleeve.
"I just can't believe it, Y/N. We're finally together..." He said in relief.
He calmed down and smiled for a little bit, then suddenly sighed, looking down, "Oh right... there are two more things. We've discovered something odd. When you first left, the barrier was open, right? We learned that if we want to cross it, we must be in contact with a human.
Alphys and I got Undyne to try to go in without you, but she couldn't. But with the contact of Miles, she could walk through. Secondly, now that I'm back to my true form... we have no human souls left. Two more is enough to break the barrier, but we are stuck with a decision; we either take you and Miles' soul... or my father will have to die."
You stood there silently, then came up with a good idea. "How about I try to get Miles to cooperate and the two of us let everyone through the barrier?"
Asriel quickly gazed up at you. "That's... a very good idea! I feel dumb for not thinking of that. How about we try the idea maybe tomorrow, we haven't had time to do anything yet, Y/N."
He's not wrong. Even if you have to give up your soul, you should spend your last moments with him if possible; the two of you just got together. However, you had some questions before you had to leave.
"King Asgore is your father?" You questioned.
"Mhm. And that makes me the umm... the Prince of the Underground! Maybe you could be the next heir..." You could see a hint of redness appearing on his cheeks as he finished.
"Good idea. I could always make you a princess and be your princex." You smirked. He covered his cheeks, completely red.
"Y-Y/N, don't s-say stuff like that! You're driving me crazy..."
"Ahahaha. Let's not get hasty, though. I think we should go to waterfall for our date."
"D-date?! I mean, yeah, good choice! Let's go there when you're ready."
You nodded and grabbed his hand, closing your eyes in an attempt to remember the sight of Waterfall. You hoped that things would be just fine when the plan occurs. Once you opened your eyes, you and Asriel were now standing on the bridge you walked amongst before meeting Undyne. You shiver and flinch from the usage of your power, trying to prevent your soul from revealing your powerful aura.
The world feels lighter, you feel as if something has been taken from you that you would never get back...

Note: I used Princex to keep it non-binary/neutral, so yeah-
