Akaashi scoots a little farther away from Bokuto before leaning to pick up the fallen photo, but gasped as he saw-
two dusty, old shoes, brownish pants... he gasped and quickly look upwards seeing no one.
.
Frightened, he almost fell off his seat, forgetting to lift the pictures off the floor. He gasped and stretched his arms again to pick it up.
"Akaashi! Akaashi! What's wrong?!? Are you okay?" Bokuto quickly placed his hand over Akaashi's shoulder, worry could be gleaned from his expression.
"A.. I.. N..N..Nothing.. I.. I'm okay..." he stuttered staring at Bokuto's eyes.
"You're trembling." Bokuto pointed out.
It's just at this moment when Keiji realized that he is indeed shaking from fear. His hands are quivering in horror. This is the first time he experienced like this... horrifying and terrifying. He heard a lot of stories like this from his father, but never once his great grandfather showed himself to the ravenhead. Sometimes, Keiji hates the fact that he shares the same face with the said man... because everytime he would look at the mirror, all he could see is Kokoiji Akaashi.
Bokuto helped the ravenhead seat back down properly and scanned his face- seeing how flustered the smaller man is.
Keiji's sweating tremendously, still trembling in horror. His eyes are fixed in the picture in his hand, blinking rather ragged, and tears building on the corner of his eyes.
"Hey.. Are you sure you're fine?" Bokuto inquired as he caressed Akaashi's face.
It felt so familiar. The warmth feels so natural. Bokuto thought as he continuously rubbed his hand over the man's soft cheeks
"Yes.. I... I'm just tired." the other replied, still focused on the picture.
For the next few minutes, the two of them stared down at that photo. Bokuto gulped the nervousness and confusion. His head feels like spinning, so many questions lingering inside.
"So... tell me... how in the world were in that photo? I mean.. come on... I don't even remember we met before... or do I just have some memory loss... what do you call that again?! Amensia! Anemia?" Bokuto broke the silence and gave Akaashi a side glance
"Bokuto-san..." Akaashi chuckled before continuing.."Please, stop joking around... It's amnesia..."
"Right!!! Do I have that?!?" Bokuto asked tilting his head, making the tension in Keiji's body lift a little.
"No... Bokuto-san... You don't have amnesia... And.. we're not those in the picture." Akaashi clarified, and Bokuto just snatch the picture off Akaashi's hand in bewilderment.
"But!!! Look!!!" the owl head almost screamed.
"You can't tell that this guy over here isn't you!" he stared at Keiji and at the picture on his hand
In that picture, stood two boys. It was black and white, giving the vibes of how old this photo is.
The smaller guy was wearing a loose, checkered trouser. His buttoned-up shirt had untidy creases and folds, his sleeves were rolled up to his elbows. His hair was a mess, but his face shows how genuine happy he was. The way he smiled resembles exactly Keiji Akaashi.
