March, 1983
"I'm not riding that thing, Bobby." I crossed my arms as I walked on the sidewalk, Bobby was riding a motorbike, along with our friends.
"Come on, Kylea, please?" He asked with puppy dog eyes.
"No...way." I ignored his look and continued my walk home. Bobby got off his bike and picks me up. "Bobby!" I squealed.
"Let me down," I whined as he put me on the back of the bike and hopped on in front of me. "I hate you," I mumbled as I wrapped my arms around his waist tight as he starts the bike.
"You love me." He says cockily. "Tuh, you wish." I rolled my eyes, and Bobby speeds up, making me yell. "Bobby quit playing!" I smacked his back.
"Don't roll your eyes then." That made me roll my eyes again. "You rolling your eyes again?" He asked as his hand hovered over the accelerator.
"No, I'm not!" I denied. "Thought so." He speeds up to catch up with the boys.
We stopped in the middle of the walkway by Ralph and Ronnie. I got off the bike and sighed in relief.
"See, you still in one piece." Bobby wrapped his arm around my shoulder and smirked.
"Barely." I fixed my hair and dusted myself off.
"Hey! Hey! You're on the radio!" A girl's voice called out from the top window.
New Edition's song 'Candy Girl' was blasting through the radio, and we and the neighbors begin to celebrate. I sing along with the song as Bobby was dancing from behind me, as we laughed and danced.

"It's too tight, ma." I winced as she puts a red bow on my head. I looked in the mirror, wearing a white dress, with white stockings, and red heels.
"Kylea, let's go." I heard Brooke calling me. I walked out the room and sat down on the counter as the boys posed below me on both sides of me.
"You look beautiful, Lea." I heard Bobby whisper. I look down at him and smiled. "Thank you, Bobby, you don't look so bad yourself." I blushed as I fixed the collar of his red jacket.
"Maurice, which one of them is the lead singer?" The photographer asked Maurice.
"All of us are lead singer." Bobby responds as we all face the photographer and the producer.
"Ralph is the lead singer," Maurice told the photographer and ignoring Bobby.
"Ralph. Which one's Ralph?" The photographer asked.
"The one with the white jacket." Maurice points him out. The photographer comes up and switched Ralph to the other side next to me. "Excuse me, Ralph, I need you to stand next to the young lady here."
Next, he switched Mike to where Bobby was as he moved behind him. "You with the hat, go on the other side over here."
We got posed for the camera. "Wait, what about-"
"Doesn't matter alright, you look perfect, it looks excellent." The photographer cuts off Ricky as he walks back to the camera.
"This bow is killing me," I mumbled as I scratched behind my bow. "Young lady, please be still." I looked up at the photographer. I sighed and put my hand down.
"Big smiles." The photographer takes dozens of pictures. Me, Ralph, and Mike smiled, except Ricky, Bobby, and Ronnie.
"Excellent!" The photographer takes one last picture.
