You looked at him, turning your head to look at the lit window to your bedroom.

"Weren't you just..." you trail off as the realization sinks in.

He looks at your widened eyes confused. "I was at the lake. My mama had me handwash a load in the river for the first time." he lets out a chuckle. "I ended up falling somehow you should have seen it. Would have gotten a good laugh."

You stood quiet, something Sergio noticed. "Hey Is something wro-"

"Sergio! Disculpa, your mama wanted me to make sure you found the letter she left you this morning."

Now Sergio's confused expression stood for two events. "Perdón señora, pero de que estas hablando?"

"Oh, you didn't see it? Your mama left a letter before she went on her trip."

Sergio opens his lips, but no words managed to escape them. He turned to look at you, tilting his head in a gesture to follow him.

You asked no questions, instead agreeing to follow him. You looked up at your window, seeing that the light was now turned off.

He said no words as he walked towards the house, and neither did you.

He opens the door, letting the both of you in. You watch as his figure hurries to the counter, and sure enough, there laid a sheet of white parchment.

You let out your questions as he picked up the piece of paper. "Sergio, what's going on? It looks like you've seen a ghost." He hands you the paper with widened eyes, continuing to stay silent.

Looking at his expression with furrowed brows, you take the note and begin to grow even more confused as you read the lines along the page.

          Sergio,

Buenas Dias mijo! I'm going to be gone for the day. Apparently, there was something we had left behind when we moved, they didn't give much information. But I'll be back soon! There's food in the fridge if you wake up hungry.

                                                       te amo,

                                                                         Mama

"What about it?" you slightly shrug, oblivious to why he was so disturbed.

He lifts the pile of clothes. "If my mama left then who told me to basically fuck off for two hours?"

He raises his eyebrows, both of you thinking the same thing. Your lips formed an 'oh' at the realization.

Camilo.

"No wonder. Funny story... So I was hanging out with you for the past two hours and ranted to you about Camilo, then left you in my room and walked out to see you coming from the river."

You both just stood there, staring at each other in silence as he processed.

"What?" he lets out in a low breath, his voice gradually growing higher. "And you actually thought he was me?! For two whole hours?!"

You throw your arms up in defense. "Well I'm sorry but he looked just like you! And the boy is pretty darn good at acting." In all honesty now that you were thinking about it, you felt a little slow for not being able to recognize him sooner.
