Day 3: The Texts and stalker.

You opened your door and slammed it shut practically as you raced up and into your room. You get your phone out and had checked the time. It was around 3:56. ** I'll meet Gonner around 6.. 2 hours will be fine.** you thought, sighing as you heard a familiar voice call out. "Hey Y/N, come down here to get your stuff!" Your brother yelled from downstairs. " finally" you said, racing down the stairs. You couldn't stop thinking about the zombie you had met last night, and what his life was about before he had died. You reached the kitchen as your brother popped some pizza rolls into the microwave. " thanks dude, I really appreciate it." You said, smiling. " no problem.. hey, whys your face so red?" He said, starting off confused but as your expression grew into fear that he would know, being flustered at the same time. He knew something was up. "Ooooo, you got a crush.. or a boyfriend.. or a girlfriend.... don't youuu" he said, teasing you. You shoved him and started laughing along with him. "Come on, who's the lucky guy? Or Gal " He said, nudging your elbow still smirking. " It's nothing. I'm just tired from running back here from school." You played it off. " I don't believe you, but alright" he said, hearing the ding and taking the pizza rolls out. He burnt his mouth plopping one into it as soon as it came out of the microwave. He spit it out in the trash, frantically getting a drink from the sink. You burst out laughing once more, so did he. You grabbed the ranch for him, thanking him for the markers one last time, and heading back upstairs. You shut your door as you placed the markers down into your drawers, where you put your art supplies. You went back to sitting on your bed, scrolling on your phone. A notification popped up. It was Dixies response to you from last nights comment on her video. "Hey, we need to talk. Meet me at the front gates at school tomorrow." She texted. " damn, about what. She's half crazy to be honest, I don't wanna." You mumbled. " About what? Me actually having someone to hang out with? Hey, you wanna take that away from me too?Don't forget the bracelet girlie." You texted back, responding. She had stolen a bracelet your now Ex had made you. He was such a jerk to you, only using you for his own personal needs. ** he was a leech anyways. Keep the dang bracelet** you thought. It was now 5:38 and you had to get re-dressed to meet with Gonner soon. You put on an elbow length baggy black t-shirt that on,You also wore camo pants that went over your high tops. You put on a perfume, whatever your mom gave you for your birthday last year. You also had put on a black beanie. Because. Why not. It was around 5:56 when you had gotten everything you needed to leave with. You went out of your room, but your backpack had made enough noise to alert your brother. " hey, where are you going missy?" He said, removing his headset from playing COD with his friends on the tv. " I'm just going to a friends house. Why?" You tried to hide your lying, which seemed to work. " ohhh, okay, your 'friends' house." He said, winking. " just be home by 2 or something, text me when you're heading back so I know you're okay." He said, looking back at the screen. " I will, promise. Cya then bro" you said, waving as you headed down the stairs. You unlocked the door with your keys and went out the door, locking it straight after. You got your flashlight again and raced down the forest where the graveyard was. You had been a little late exiting the house, so it was probably around 6:25. You eventually reached the entrance to the graveyard again, as you had seen no sight of Gonner. You looked around, saying his name. When all of a sudden, you were swooped off your feet and hung upside down by a familiar person. "Aye me hearty, this be a good catch for fishin'" he jokingly said, flipping you over as you giggled a bit. " you can't scare me like that" you said, rolling your eyes as he responded. " Tis' was funny alas. Right?" He made a weary face, and was relieved to hear it was pretty funny. " I almost thought ye weren't coming!" He said, as you both entered the gates and sat down onto the log you had met on. " my brother kept teasing me, I told him I was going to a friends house to get away from him." You said, laughing a bit as Gonner did too. "Aye, seems like he's just carin' for his beautiful siblin'" he said, smiling as you got red in the face. He laughed at how red you were as you covered your face. " stopppp, your making me feel weirdddd-" you joked as you both heard a movement from the outside of the gates. " what was that?" Gonner asked. " I'm not sure.. I don't really want to find out either.." you said, feeling uncomfortable as ever. Gonner put his arm around your shoulders, " well, if it turns out to be some swashbuckling scum, I'll rip em to shreds!" He said, Imitating a sword fight. You both laughed and eventually heard it again, this time you were fed up. ** there's probably someone here. No way an animal could make that loud of a noise this late.** .. " Okay, Whoever's hiding in there you're not slick! Get out from the damn bushes and stop spying on us!" You stood up, walking over to the gates.Afigure stood up from behind a few bushes. "Wait.. DIXIE?" You said in a louder tone. She stepped out , looking sadder then usual. Gonner seemed to take notice of the situation and stood on the left of you as he crossed his arms. " what business do ye have here. " Gonner said, obviously irritated that she was spying on us. " I just want to talk with Y/N, nothing bad, heheh" she said , awkwardly. You were about to tell her you would talk tomorrow about it, as she suggested in the first place, when Gonner spoke first. " She don't need to," he said, pulling you closer to himself, putting his arm on your waist. He put his other hand to rest on his belt loop. "Well, why not. It's not like she has any plans. She's a little baby loner who can't stand up for herself." She said, glaring at you when she said that halfway through. She kept talking bad about you, as you felt sadder then before. they both started to argue. You got lost in your thoughts. ** Am I really a loser? Does nobody like me anymore?...** .. Dixie soon stormed off into the darkness as Gonner looked back at you. You were tearing up fast. He took notice fairly quick." Aye, aye. lass. Y/n. It's over now, dixie's gone. She was a scumbag of a human anyways'" he said, lifting your head up to look at him with his right hand whilst he wiped away your tears with his other hand. "Don't cry.. it makes me sad to see ye get so worked up.." he said, but you kept going at it. He hugged you and you did back. You buried your face him his chest as he comforted you, rubbing your head and back. " why don't I bring ye home.. it would be for the best.. " he suggested. You looked up at his face and nodded, wanting the comfort of your house and brother. You didn't just want to leave Gonner like that though.. but he persisted on bringing you home. You got your bag and held his hand as you both walked slowly though the trees. He kept making sure you were okay the whole way back. You eventually asked him to bring you to the back door and walk you there. He said it was okay and you both made you're way to the back door. You opened the gate and let him in aswell. " I'm sorry for what happened back there.. I shouldn't have been so dumb about my surroun-" you got cut off by Gonner saying it was okay. You didn't know Dixie The Creep was stalking you. You gave him A final hug before heading inside, locking the door. You waved and watched Gonner leave the house backyard. You ran up the stairs to your brothers gaming room. He was still there, watching YouTube on his phone. He noticed you were home. " Hey, how was your so called friends hou-" he stopped his sentence to see you had been crying. " what happened this time Y/N?" He said, getting up to check on you. " The Dixie b*tch just made me feel bad about myself again. " you said. He looked into your eyes for a bit." I'm so tired of hearing this scumbags name. Does she go to your school?" He sternly said. " yeah.. she asked my to meet her by the front gates tomorrow after school. I don't want to without someone with me.." you said, looking down. " I'll pick you up today. I'll just take my bike and you can ride on the back. I'll stand up on the bike." He looked away. " I'll teach this petty ass girl to learn some f**king manners." He said, reassuring you that you would be okay tomorrow. You said thank you, and began a long hug. He rustled your hair at least 10 minutes in. "You should get some sleep. But if your hungry you can get some cereal.." he said, but you didn't need anything. You opened the door to your room. You stood there for a second, processing everything that's happened tonight. You dropped your bag, turned off your lights, and eventually changed. You went onto tiktok because she had texted you again. " Your just some stupid kid anyways. He didn't love you for a reason." She replied a few hours ago. You took a screenshot of the text messages and posted them onto your feed, you closed your eyes and soon drifted to sleep. You hoped everyone was going to see the post, and sort Dixie into her place again.
