it was the weekend. aether was laying down on his bed staring empty at his phone. he was about to open youtube until he got a text. he quickly sprung up into a sitting position on his bed to check who it was. 'hey.' aether opened the message to see it was from xiao! his heart skipped a beat as he was replying to xiao. 'whats up? :)' he held his phone close to his chest. 'stop it! stop feeling that way, aether! i just met him a week ago.' he thought to himself. he looked back at his phone to see what xiao had replied. 'would you like to go to an arcade with me?' aethers face turned a bright red 'i-is he asking me out?' he thought to himself. just as he was about to reply to xiao lumine entered the room. "lunch is ready-" lumine looked at aethers face which was as bright as an apple. "ooo, who you texting?" she walked over to aether and took a peak at his phone. he quickly hid it but lumine still got a peak. "XIAO? you like HIM?" she looked suprised. "wow aeth, didn't know your type would be cold people." she smirked at him. "i-i don't like him, alright? im just sweating so my face is red!" he got up from his bed and went to turn on his fan. he held his face infront of the fan for a while until he felt relaxed again. "suree. anyway, come down for lunch!" aether looked back down at his phone and quickly replied to xiao. "sorry lumi, im eating somewhere else today." he said as he started getting ready. "alrightt, be back soon though!" she said as she closed the door.
he finished getting ready and headed for the front door. "im going out, bye lumi!" he didn't wait for a response and walked out the front door. he saw xiao waiting for him outside. his face felt red when he remembered what lumine said earlier. aether shook it off and walked toward xiao. "hey!" he smiled at him. "mind if we go somewhere to eat first? im STARVING!" asked aether. "i think the arcade we're going to has a diner. we can eat there if thats okay with you." xiao slightly smiled. aether blushed and looked away so xiao wouldn't be able to see his face. 't-thats the first time xiao's ever smiled..-' aether thought to himself. 'i thought venti said xiao was emotionless, and cold..' he snapped back to reality and started walking over to the arcade with xiao. as soon as they arrived xiao and aether went straight to the diner. xiao started ordering tons of food for aether and payed. "you aren't going to eat any of it?!" asked aether. "no. im pretty full from what i ate at home." xiao replied. "you're not eating on my watch!" said aether as he stuffed a piece of bread into xiao's mouth. "mmm-MMMM!" xiao attempted to say with the piece of bread still in his mouth. he chewed it and swallowed. "hmph!" said aether proudly. "you really didn't have to.." said xiao with a nervous look on his face. aether smiled at him. xiao looked deeply into aether's eyes. he already knew aether was beautiful but looking at him like that made xiao feel something. is it love? who knows. xiao couldn't help himself. "aether.." xiao moved his face closer to the other males so that their lips were ghosting each others. "h-hm?" said aether. 'too close..' he thought to himself. "can i.. kiss you?" xiao said without thinking. "H-HUH?!" said aether, suprised. "i-i mean.. sorry i dont know what got over me-" aether interrupted xiao and crashed their lips together. they made out for a while. xiao heard aether whine as he tightly shut his eyes. they let go of the kiss and looked at each other. their faces turned bright red and they were awkward for the rest of the "date". "l-lets go play some games, aether." said xiao embarassed. "r-right!" agreed aether. they continued to waste their points on games in the arcade until they were out. when they were finished, they walked home together every once in a while brushing hands together. xiao and aether arrived at aethers house. "thanks for today xiao. lets do this again sometime, okay?" said aether smiling, trying to hide the embarrassment from earlier. "s-sure." xiao replied. "oh, and one more thing." xiao got closer to aether and pecked him on the lips. "i love you, aether." xiao walked away leaving aether as a blushing mess. "i-i love you too, xiao!" replied aether, nervously smiling at xiao who kept walking home.
aether unlocked to door to his house to see a smirking lumine on the other side. "sooo. how did your 'date' go?" aether turned to lock the door. "i-it was okay." he said, his back still turned to lumine. "im glad you enjoyed it. now stop day dreaming about your new boyfriend and lets go to bed!" shouted lumine. "b-boyfriend?!?"
