"Fionnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnna!" Hollered Cake. "Where you gone and lost your ass now? We're supposed to be at the castle in half an hour girl!"
"I'll be down in a second!" I shouted down the treehouse, twirling nervously infront of my mirror. I had gone through my entire wardrobe (Which wasn't much) and I still couldn't decide on an outfit.
"Dressing to impress huh?" Chuckled Cake appearing at the top of the ladder.
I blushed. "No, I just-"
"Don't even try and pretend love, you finally gonna fess up to Prince Gumball?"
I sat on my bed, "Maybe... Oh I don't know Cake, I'm rubbish in these sorts of situations!" I put my head in my hands.
"Well if it's any consolation darlin', I think you look fabulous!"
"Are you sure..?" I stood up and looked in the mirror again, still not sure about the outfit. I was wearing a long lilac dress and my hair was out of my hat for once, blonde hair tumbling down to my waist.
"Well to be honest baby you don't have any time to change now. We gotta leave now if you wanna be at the ball on time!"
I gasped, "Oh my glob, oh my glob, oh my glob!"
"Shut your mouth and get out the door!" Cake pushed my towards the ladder and I started to climb down my hands shaking at the thought of confessing my crush to Prince Gumball.

When we arrived at the castle doors there was a queue of people waiting to go inside. It seemed like the entire of the Candy Kingdom and more were there.
"I wonder if Lord Monochromicorn is gunna be there, I bet he is, oh my." Cake said rather flustered now.
Her nervous chatter slightly comforted me as the pit in my stomach threatened to eat me whole. What was Prince Gumball going to say if I tell him? Will he reject me? The more I thought about it the more I thought I was going to puke.
"Hey Fiona!" My stomach dropped and I looked up to see Prince Gumball in a pink suit and lilac bowtie.
"H-Hey Prince Gumball." I said with a smile.
"Come on inside Fiona you'll miss the buffet!"
Blushing I walked inside. The castle was filled with life. People were dancing, the food filled te hall with a delicious aroma and the music was amazing. I looked to the band and saw Marshall Lee strumming his guitar to the tune, but not looking entirely pleased at Prince Gumballs music choice. LSP was floating over the buffet unsure of what to eat and nearly all of the candy people were dancing.
It was all I had dreamed it would be, smiling Cake dragged me to the dance floor and we began to dance to an upbeat cheery song. Giggling away, we twirled and twisted to the music until it ended. When the music stopped we went and sat on some chairs out of breath but still laughing, a slower song started.
My mind wandered away, imagine if Prince Bubblegum came over to me now and asked me to dance. I blushed at the thought.
"Fiona?" A deep voice called.
I looked up and smiled, "Marshall Lee! How you doing?"
"Alright I guess, and you?"
"I'm good."
He levitated in a sitting position opposite me, "Today the big day huh?" He wiggled his eyebrows.
I blushed furiously. "What? I don't know-"
"YU-HUH!" Snickered Cake.
"Shut up, both of you!" I half laughed half grimaced.
The slow music was still going and helped to calm me, I closed my eyes and let the music consume me until I heard a sweet voice.
"Fiona?" Prince Bubblegum asked, "May I have this dance?"
