Finally getting back to life

I woke up to the sound of Rueben's alarm going off I yelled from my room "Rueben turn that damn alarm off!!" I guess that's when he finally decided to wake up because I heard him turn the shower on. I walked to the kitchen to see mom drinking a cup of coffee "why do I have to go to school today I still have to finish hanging up my pictures and posters" "because y/n we need to back into the swing of life y'all going back to school and me going back to work" I said ok and walked back to my room to get ready.

"leeeet's go I'm gonna be late if yall don't come on" my brother Jason was driving us to school so my mom could go straight to work. when we got to school we into a parking space next to a van with a guy in it he had long black curly hair it could have been brown but the window made it look black. I guess I started staring because after a minute I heard Rueben talking "y/n common if I'm gonna get anywhere I'm gonna need you to show me" I laughed "Rueben are you high?" he laughed "maybe just a little" I grabbed his wrist and we started walking "next time you better share" well I have more if you want some at lunch?" I laughed "ok"

"here is my schedule" he handed it to me so I could help him. after I showed him where to go I looked at mine and realized it said I had to pick a sport I didn't know why I had to pick a sport but I didn't have to worry about it right now so I started to walk to class.

When I got to class I slowly opened the door and peeked my head in "hi are you Mrs.O'danaldson?" "yes, and you are y/n ,y/l/n right?" "yes" "ok you can have a seat at that back table" I looked to the back of the class and saw the boy from the van I walked to the back of the class and sat down across from him he was kind of cute I have to admit.

the bell rang and I looked at my schedule and it said I had to go do my selected sport but I didn't have one yet so walked to the front office to see where I needed to select my sport. "hi it is my first day and I need a sport for my second period" "ok well it seems like your parents should have done that a week ago like required" she was really rude and never even looked up from her computer. "you need to go to the field house and talk to the coach" "ok so where is the field house is?" "Henderson will you show this young lady to the field house please?" a curly-headed boy turned around and gave me a toothy smile. "hi I'm Dustin what's your name?" "my name is y/n as you may have heard me say earlier I'm new it's my first day" "yea, so have you made any new friends yet?" I laughed "no not yet I haven't really talked to anybody I'm not really the social type" he laughed "well you have one now" "ok cool" "ok here we are that's the felid house over there" he pointed to a small building with a track field near it with a set of bleachers and a football field as well. " great well thanks see you around Henderson" "you to y/n"

I started to walk down to the field house and as I got closer I saw the guy from 1st period on the bleachers. I walked into the field house and saw a coach "hi I need to pick my sport for second period" I smiled at him " ok we have two spots open one on the softball team and one on the volleyball team" I absolutely hate softball "how much does it cost to do volleyball?" "not at all we pay for the uniform and all the away games" I didn't even have to think about it "ok i will do volleyball then" "ok let me get you a locker and uniform so we can figure out your position" he smiled at me and then walked to the other room and got me a uniform he showed me to the locker room so I could change. after I got finished changing and we went outside and started playing.

I'm not gonna explain the whole game but I hope you liked this part.also, my laptop is acting up so don't mind the spelling errors.
