...
You stepped outside. It was kinda late, but not too late. The stars were pretty. It wasn't completely dark, but you could see the stars showing up.
You heard someone riding a bike towards you. You couldn't tell who it was. Must be someone just passing by.
"Hello y/n!" The stranger says. You jumped up to see who it was. It was Hinata. Why is he here?
"Hey." You say quietly. You didn't want to wake up your mom. "What are you doing here?" You add.
"Can I take you somewhere? It won't be for long." He asks, making a pouty face.
You didn't think you should, but you wanted to.
"Sure."
"Yayyy. Okay hop on my bike!" He smiles. You hopped on behind his bike, holding his shoulders.
"Sorry y/n, but your gonna have to hold my waist, it's safer that way." He says confidently said.
"Heh? Uh okay." You wrapped your arms around his waist, basically hugging him. He was warm.
"Okay, let's go."
You didn't expect him to go so fast. No wonder he said it was safer to hold around his waist. He's going faster than a freakin car.
We arrived to a hill and walked up it.
Hinata laid down on the grass. "What are we doing?" You asked. "I want to look at the stars with you, is that okay?"
You loved the stars. You've never gone stargazing, because you've never been able to see them late at night. Crap! which meant you weren't allowed out late. Hopefully my mother doesn't find out. I mean she was sleeping when I got home, I could just say I studied late again.
You lied down next to Hinata, and looked at the beautiful stars. They were so bright. You smiled to yourself.
Hinata saw you and smiled with you, with a bright shade of pink plastered on his face. "What?" You asked the ginger, who was staring at you.
"I like it when you smile." He laughs. He likes it when I smile? But why? It's just a smile.
"Oh uh, thanks. I guess." You laugh, and continued looking at the sky.
"Thank for bringing my jacket back." Hinata said, breaking the silence again. "It was quite the surprise." He adds.
"Yeah, of course."
"I guess I never really told you about myself." Hinata says, sounding kind of sad. "I mean, my life isn't all that special, but I feel like I haven't told you enough."
"Oh, it's fine. I don't really mind. If it's personal you can keep that to yourself, if your not comfortable sharing. I won't ever force you to." You reassured him.
"Nah. I'm comfortable. I just wanted to know more about you that I didn't tell you anything about myself." The ginger says with a big smile.
Why did he want to know more about me?
"After you left the park from your mom I waited for you every single day. My mom always let me go out. I stopped coming to the park because I lost hope, but my mom was giving birth to my younger sister Natsu." He says.
"It's not like I didn't want to come, but I was giving my baby sister a lot of company. I knew I'd see you again, but I guess it took a couple years didn't it?" He laughs.
Why is he so positive?
"I started volleyball in middle school. I didn't have a team, so I practiced with the ladies team. It was awkward but at least I still got to play volleyball. I want to be just like the tiny giant!" He says excitedly.
Wait I remember him bringing up that name. Tiny giant was it? That's a person right?
"The tiny giant plays volleyball and he's the ace. My friends never played volleyball with me. It was hard to get them to toss for me. They did occasionally, but they always made excuses for other things. Then I finally got a team! But I lost against kageyama." He pouts.
Kageyama? Who's that again?
"We're on the same team now , so it's kinda funny. We didn't get along very well. I mean we still don't, but at first it was so bad we got kicked out of the gym for fighting so much." He laughs. "We had our first match, that was pretty good. It was just a practice match. I mean it wasn't the best, but we won at least!"His eyes shined so bright, almost brighter than the stars. You didn't get where all his positive energy came from. But it made you feel so happy for some reason.
Listening to him talk, while he looks at you, is like watching the stars. Or when you see a kid see their favorite piece of candy at a store. He made me feel safe. You didn't know why.
Hinata talks on and on about himself, and his life for a bit. It was nice listening to him talk about himself. It wasn't a bad thing. It wasn't like he was bragging or being full of himself. It was helping you get to know him better. You smiled again.
"What's so funny?" The curious ginger asked.
"Nothing, I just enjoy this for some reason." You add.
"Ehhh? Enjoy what?" He asks another question. "I enjoy you talking about yourself. It's helping me get to know you better, ya know?" You laugh. "It's also nice to sit with somebody and talk while watching the stars." You added.
"Yeah. I enjoy this too." He smiles.
You both stared at each other for awhile. It was silent. All you could hear was his breathing and yours, while the wind was blowing and the crickets were chirping.
You then realized what time it was. Crap.
"It's getting really late. I should probably go home." You said a little worried. "Your right, I'll take you home." He smiles.
You got onto his bike and wrapped your arms around his waist. This time the ride wasn't as fast as it was before.
You reached your house and got off of his bike. "Thanks again." You say. "Eh? For what?"
"For letting me have the chance to talk to you and get to know you better. And also for taking me home for the second time this week." You laugh. "Right, your welcome." He smiles. "See ya!"
Hinata rides away on his bike. You were scared. What if your mom saw or heard you. What if she noticed you were gone for too long. You didn't want to go inside. But once you did you didn't see your mother. Where was she?
You checked her bedroom. She was sleeping. Hopefully she was asleep the whole time.
You went to your room and tried to fall asleep.
You really liked having Hinata's company. It was nice having someone to talk to. It was nice having a friend.
A friend? Right he's my friend.
