So, I'll just be honest. I did not expect this story to catch as much attention as it has, and now I'm nervous. However, I will try and live up to whatever expectations you all have for me. Keep in mind that this is a Gamer OC fanfic, which means power scaling will be off the walls. And because this is a Gamer fanfic, expect things that will make no real sense.

The idea of Ultimate Characters is never really explored in a combat scenario, so we never get to see what feats these teenagers have, and I plan to use my imagination to its fullest. So when fights do eventually happen, expect some bullshit.

Now, on to comment/review responses:

Delly (Guest): Yes. Other V3 characters will make an appearance. When, however, is an entirely different story.

MarcusCooper (Ao3): Yup. And yes, I will have a bunch of fun exploring just what "Hard Mode" will mean for our Protagonist.

[Jin Kirigiri – POV]

Being the Headmaster of Hopes Peak Academy would lend someone the ability to see all of the world's talented individuals. Er, well Japan's most talented individuals, seeing as the school didn't do transfer students, not unless it was under special circumstances, and that was only for The Reserve Course. Money was money, after all. If you wanted to be accepted as a Talented student at Hopes peak but lived in a different country, that had been the reason why they had opened up other schools in other countries. But that was beside the point.

Being the Headmaster of Hopes Peak Academy, in Japan, gave way to seeing Japan's talented youth, which was usually accompanied by some of the most eccentric personalities. Jin Kirigiri was similar to that in many, many ways. Granted, he was just a regular guy, and he didn't lead an exciting life.

Well, no, that was a lie. Again, site the "Being the Headmaster of Hopes Peak Academy" as proof of that. So, as Jin sat in his office chair, slicking back his blackish-purple hair, adjusted his black and white striped tie, and fixed the collar on his black business suit, he prepared for what probably was going to be the world's strangest conversation he had the... well, pleasure would not be the right word.

Opportunity would be better, in that regard.

But why? Well, it would be who he was talking to that explained that.

Jolyne Brooks. She was an average student for the first few months of her attendance at Hopes Peak Academy. Sure, she was a Reserve Course Student, but he cared for all his students equally. That wasn't even mentioning the fact that, in the reserve course, she was pretty damn smart and had consistently kept getting A's on every test she did and was on the fast track to potentially being offered a spot as next year's Ultimate Lucky Student, granted if she won the lottery, that was.

So when he heard she attempted suicide by throwing herself off of the Reserve Course building's roof, he nearly choked on his coffee.

Having someone commit suicide at Hopes Peak Academy would've been a TERRIBLE PR nightmare to sort through. And so, when she somehow survived the attempt, she got Mikan Tsumiki – The Ultimate Nurse – to nurse her back to health. It took three months, but she woke up, and she seemed to have forgotten where she was and how she got there according to Mikan.

It wasn't uncommon for coma victims to have some slight memory loss. At least Jolyne remembered her name, although not remembering that she had been a student at Hopes Peak, Transfer Student from Canada or not, Reserve Course Student or not, you didn't just forget that you go to Hopes Peak Academy.
