I woke up to the sound of rain, it was the next morning and the real Forks weather was coming through.

I did my regular routine before changing into a dark red, long sleeved shirt, black skinny jeans, a black leather jacket and black boots. It took me 30 minutes to straight my dark locks and then I put on some light makeup, this time wearing mascara instead of eyeliner.

Lastly, I put on some perfume before taking my bag and heading downstairs.

I noticed everyone was downstairs, including my dad, I smile at them and poured myself some coffee in my black tumbler, "Kara I'll be working overtime so I'll be late, make sure to make dinner and clean the kitchen for me please" my mom says and I nod.

"Thank you baby" she said and kissed my forehead, "Sis, do you think you could drop me off at my friends house after school, he invited me over to play video games with some other classmates" Ambrose asked me and I nod.

"Ooo my boy has some friends, that's good to know" my dad says as he drank his coffee. Vera and I laugh as my dad ruffles Ambroses' hair.

"Yeah yeah what a surprise, I'm not an outcast" he huffs and we quickly finish eating before heading to school.

By the time we arrive at the school it had stopped raining, now it was back to the cloudy, humid, forks weather. But something was off-

Everyone was gathered outside, like literally- everyone. Teachers, the principal, all the students, and even the janitors.

We get out of the car and go to our friend groups, "hey Kara! Over here!" I heard Jessica yell, I spot her waving her arms while signaling me towards her.

I walk over to them with a confused expression, "why is everyone outside?" I ask, " power outage, one of the lines disconnected last night because of the storm, it's gonna take them about half an hour to fix it" mike explains and I nod.

"Does this always happen when it rains?" I ask.

"Pretty much, usually every time there's a storm, which is common for forks" I hear a familiar voice say, by the look on everyone's face I could tell they didn't expect whoever it was.

I turn around to see Alice smiling at me, Jasper next to her as always, staring at me with his unreadable expression.

"Hi Alice, Jasper" I greeted simply, "what are you guys doing over here? I would expect you to be with your other siblings" I state and Alice giggles.

"Yeah but I wanted to say hi to you, and...I wanted to see if you would like to go shopping with me and Rose tomorrow, prom is coming up and I need a dress" she asks cheerfully and I grin.

I look over at the other three Cullens who were leaned against their luxury cars, the blonde, Rosalie , glared at me.

"I don't know, your sister doesn't look like she likes me" I say turning back to Alice, she sighs and turns to Jasper.
