Anna woke up in a unfamiliar room, a wood cabin. She had no idea where she was or how she got there, she went outside and looked around and all she saw were trees, other cabins and a police vehicle.
One of the detective walked up to her and told her to come with him. She followed him without a question, she thought maybe she had been kidnapped and he had come to save her.
Anna was brought into another cabin "when was the last time you saw this girl" the detective asked holding a picture of a 13 year old girl.
Was Anna suppose to know this girl? Because she had never seen this girl before in her life. She didn't even know how and when she was brought to this place and why.
"I've never seen her before, I don't even know why I'm here" she stated.
The Detective had a stern look, not the slightest smudge of emotion was displayed.
"Aren't you one of the camp counselor, Ms. Cindy?" He asked sliding a picture of the mysterious girl and Anna together smiling.
"Who's Cindy? And why am I in that photo? I can't remember"
Anna couldn't remember anything, otherthan a month ago.
"I'm sorry but I think you have the wrong person, my name is Anna not Cindy, I'll see myself out" she got up from the chair.
The detective rose from his seat and said "Identification card states otherwise Ms. Cindy"
She had a ID around her neck, with her photo and the name Cindy Miller, but her name was Anna Miller none of what was happening made sense.
"My name is Anna! Why do people keep calling me Cindy" she threw the ID to the floor.
"The girl in the photo name's Emily, she was found dead in the pond a few hours ago" The detective stated. He had no time for foolish and dumb excuse Anna was trying to come up with.
"I don't know anything, I don't remember, I can't remember, I've never seen her before" she shouted from frustration because she really had no idea what was happening.
She walked out from the room and Jake another camp worker rushed over to her.
"Cindy, are you ok? I know you were close to Em" He placed his hand on her shoulder.
Anna had enough she needed explanations, why was everyone calling her Cindy.
"I'm not Cindy! Please explain why everyone keeps calling me Cindy and why I'm here" she brushed off his hand.
Jake laughed at her silly joke "funny as always Cin but now isn't the time to be joking"
"I'm not joking, I'm Anna but everyone keeps calling me Cindy"
The detective stepped out from the cabin and stared at Anna, she was suspicious after the girl was found dead she loses her memories. She was now the first suspect.
"Ms. Cindy you'll have to come with us to the station to do a background" the detective stated.
She finally got a good look at him, his dark brown eyes looked as if he haven't slept in days. His beard was scruffy and his hair was a mess.
"Wait detective, why do you need to do a background check on Cindy? I assure you she's innocent, I think she's in shock from the trauma after losing Em" Jake panicked as she explained.
It couldn't have been Cindy, she was the most kind hearted person, when she smile you could feel her warmth. "How could someone so sweet hurt anyone?" Jake thought.
"Yes she's innocent until proven guilty, that's why she needs to come with me to the station to clear her name" he stated in a deep cold voice.
Jake backed down, and Anna agreed to go to prove she was not Cindy and her name is Anna.
