Walking downtown always gives me a sense of calmness, but lately, it's been anything but that today has been hectic, with so many things going on that usually wouldn't, but on the way, I saw Davina and she squealed in excitement at the sight of me.
"How are you? Since, you know..." she trails off and I know she's talking about Hope and Hayes, so I grab her hand and smile at the fact that I can see my children whenever I want but choose not to only because the witches can detect where I end up, and I don't have the time or energy to do that, because I still feel like Esther is still alive.
"I'm better, Nik and I have been talking so that's always good, I haven't tortured him," I mumble, I don't trust her at the moment because she's always plotting against Nik and I don't fuck with that.
"So, where are you headed?" I ask her and she freezes up, literally.
"Uh-I-I'm heading home." She mumbled and I know for a fact that I don't believe her now.
I look around and spot a guy lurking, and eating an apple while watching us, I turn back to Davina and she's gone, fucking hoe.
I walk towards the guy and know who it is immediately, and I know he's on the wrong side, because why is he being a dumbass.
"Hey, Kol, new body?" I question and he looked at me in fear
"Can we talk somewhere quiet?" He asks and I nod pulling him into an alleyway.
"Listen, my mother is still alive and she killed my original body and placed me into this one, but she's planning something, I'll update you. I promise," he whispered
"Why the hell are you whispering?" I ask annoyed
"She has ears everywhere, don't tell Klaus, he'll want to kill her and she'll just jump into a new body." He whispers

I teleport to Nik's library where I knew he would be doing his morning reading and smile when I see him.
"We still haven't had our talk, you know?" He mentions and I hum
"want to talk now? while we're both free." I offer and he nods and placed his book down for a minute.
"Why did you leave? why did you want me to feel bad about trying my hardest to protect not only you but our children? you left me, when I needed you, I didn't know where you were, what you were doing, I searched for you, then you came back and blamed me for everything!!" he exclaimed angrily

"I-I, you were always gone and I was pregnant and hormonal, not to mention horny, yes we had sex but when I woke up, I thought it was a dream because you weren't there until late at night or sometimes, I would wake up and your side of the bed wouldn't be touched, so I felt abandoned and I should've vocalized this to you instead of running away, for that I'm sorry," I mumble the last part and he looks at me like he's seeing me for the first time in a long time.

"I did abandon you, then blamed you for everything...We both were at fault for something, we need to communicate better, we're married...This isn't how it should be." he whispered as he grabbed my waist and pulled me onto his lap
"I've missed you." He mumbled and I laugh shyly and push him away while smiling.

"I love you, Nik," I whisper and kiss his cheek softly, but he made me look at him and I almost freeze up, but he grabs my face and smashed his lips against mine passionately and pulled me closer to his body.

"Little love, I will never stop loving you...This was just a test in our relationship of how strong our love is, but don't leave me...You're everything to me." He mumbled against my lips

"I'm here to stay, Niklaus," I mumble against his lips and bring him into another kiss
"Forever," I mumble

I'm in Nik's lap with my head in the crook of his neck, when Nik and I overhear Elijah giving Hayley a lecture about killing someone, but we're not bothered, well I'm not anyway.
"You took her on a witch hunt?" Elijah comes into the room calmly, but I could feel his anger for Nik.
"We simply wanted to persuade those witches...to locate the white oak stake for us," Nik says motioning to me being there.
"It was simple really, they declined and Hayley got to feed and feed some more." I chuckle at the memory.

"She grows more savage by the day, can you not see she's falling apart?" Elijah questions Nik and that always ends badly for Elijah anyway.
"Perhaps the problem is your high standards. Hayley is one of us now, being a vampire only exaggerates what you truly are..." Nik says while reading his book, he then pulled me closer than before when he felt me slipping off of him.

"And wolves are wild things," Nik says sarcastically which makes me bite his neck softly.
I look over at Elijah who is glaring at Nik, in a very dangerous way.
"She knows she can never live up to the picture you paint of her in your head, your judgment only hurts her more," Nik says and all I can pay attention to is his accent thickening by the second.
"I am trying to help her and I asked you to help her, brother," Elijah says and I take that as my queue to get up off of Nik's lap, so I do just in time because Nik angrily stood up and slammed his book shut in the process.
"I am helping, you should've seen her last night, covered in witches' blood and smiling...from ear to ear, she is embracing this." Nik paused and looked back at me smiling.
"A little less criticism from you and Hayley will be just fine." Nik mumbles
"Niklaus, the mother of my child deserves much better than 'just fine.' You'll take her to the Bayou and find any remaining wolves, perhaps her people can reach her." Elijah starts and I roll my eyes in annoyance
"Now more than ever, she needs a connection to some...of her humanity. Some degree of dignity." Elijah says while pointing at Nik and I stop him from walking out by placing my hand on his chest.
"I get that you're trying to help Hayley, but don't fucking point your finger at my husband, we're trying to help her just as much as you are, we just go about it differently, so try your way, let's see what happens," I say and he nods respectfully and walks out of the room.
"God, I missed that," Nik whispered and I look at him confused
"Missed what?" I ask
"You defending me, it's sexy." He whispered in my ear
"Really, how sexy?" I whisper and he pressed his front on my butt and I feel his member grow.
"That sexy." He says and walks out of the room.
I know this man didn't get me hot and bothered then left me in this room.
